Switching over from strong side IWB, and the belt I was using (ares enhanced ranger) isn't low profile enough. Any suggestions?

Beltman or hanks for leather.
The Wilderness Instructor belt for Nylon. These 3 brands make high quality belts that will suit your needs. |

I ordered from Kore Essentials... heard of em through Garand thumb and Mr. Gunsayadayada
2 belts for $98... one casual one for daily... ordered yesterday and already have a tracking number. Was discounted and used their Black Friday code for the discount |

Another vote for Kore. I have been rocking one for a year. Very stiff, low pro, and comfortable.

Color me surprised the Aegis belt is not low profile enough for aiwb carry.

View Quote @sek7562 I'm surprised the Ares isn't low profile enough, but you are really skinny. I use a Trayvax belt or a Blue Alpha gear. Trayvax is more low profile and way cheaper. Its also my preferred belt to fly with. |

Quoted: Whatever you get just slide the buckle so it rides on the side of your hip. It'll give you more room to place the gun where you want it. https://i.imgur.com/W6LiRUq.jpg View Quote Normally this but by using a DDC monoblock I can keep the buckle front and center with holster to the right and mag pouch to the left of it. |

Nexbelt Appendix has been going strong for me, I prefer it over KORE. I have the original model, I believe there has since been refinements made to current ones.

I use both a Crossbreed Classic gun belt and an Ares Gear Aegis. Both are excellent quality, but while the Aegis is more precisely adjustable, I've found that the Crossbreed doesn't irritate my hips as much after a long day of carrying my G19/spare mag.

Quoted: BAEDC belts arent very "gray man"... View Quote Sure they are, I AIWB, So my belt is always covered up. So I want a low profile belt with no big ass buckle. I currently use a web belt that is an inner velcro belt. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Mastermind tactical. |

Take a look at a Mastermind Tactics Pro,
I'd used a Blue Alpha daily for the last year and when the hook / loop started to fail decided to try Mastermind's Pro. As happy as I was with Blue Alpha, I prefer the Pro, it's not quite as thick, conforms and moves with you, I find it very solid with a 4" M&P AIWB 14hrs a day and more comfortable than the B A and under $30.00 |

I like the Blue Alpha Gear Hybrid Cobra belt. Typically rotate the buckle to sit near my right front pocket leaving an uninterrupted section of belt across the front of my pants.

I have a stack of carry belts including many of the ones mentioned here and prefer the Nexbelt. The ratcheting closure and buckle sized to pass through belt loops takes all the pain points away from carrying. I'm shocked by how.much I like it.

View Quote Same, I really like it over all my other carry belts. However, during the election cycle I kept seeing ads for them and it was showing a Biden buckle. Makes me wary of their politics and donations. |

Never understood the fascination some have for a CCW specific belt.
The vast majority of 1.5" belts work exactly the same way....or certainly close enough where splitting hairs over them is absurd. |

Another Kore user here, the Nexbelt does look interesting. I like the ratchet of those two.

Your gonna need it when you blow your junk off |

View Quote Been rocking one of these for 3 months now, pretty solid so far. They make one specifically for AIWB, the belt buckle is smaller to give you more room for the holster. That's what I got and it works great. |

Its also my preferred belt to fly with. The Aegis is thinner and stiffer than any of my leather gunbelts. I couldn’t imagine needing a thinner belt. You are putting the buckle off to the side right? Edit: I carry either a G43 or a P220 AIWB and, honestly, it makes me have a flatter stomach than if I’m not carrying |

Nexbelt for me. From Central TX, to AR, TN, to Chesapeake Va. Three days driving and truck camping each way was no big deal.

I would wear the hook and loop out on wilderness so I stopped buying them. I tried Aegis Enhanced and they would bunch up or get a bump under the tensioner so I stopped buying them. I went back to leather. I’m considering another synthetic but...
