I just bought a Series 70 1911 Govt $725.00 from a local FFL retiring and curious if I can upgrade the barrel to either national match barrel or Wilson barrel

You can upgrade pretty much anything an a 1911, the question is how much do you want to spend?
A new barrel can include cutting the underlug to properly fit and changing the barrel link, plus fitting the bushing, all pretty labor intensive.
^ not a gunsmith just a dedicated amatur.

So not plug and play I see.Thought so.
Who does work like this? Wilson Nighthawk Colt?
No real gunsmiths locally to me at home

Shoot it and see how accurate it is. Rarely is the barrel the culprit if it does not shoot accurately- often fitting a new bushing will fix accuracy issues. Fitting a bushing is a fairly simple task and usually will help more than replacing the barrel itself
