Realized I don't have a .22 for plinking and critters.  

LGS had some Heritage single actions in stock. Fell in love with the 3.6" barrel Barkeep model, and took her home. Downside, probably have to go back next week because the woman couldn't stop making eyes at a Rough Rider with pink grips. But at that price, I'll just have to make the sacrifice.  

Definitely picking up a magnum cylinder. But now I need a holster. Everything for single action guns seems to be for longer or shorter barrels. Or ridiculously expensive.  

Any budget suggestions for a small frame SAA type like this? At this size, I think cross draw would be good. Maybe a shoulder holster for a hike in the woods. I just don't want to peel the wallet open too far.

Update.  

Ordered a cross draw off Etsy from Big Texas Leather Works. They offer various sizes for the Barkeep.  

Also, my 3.6" barreled model fits oddly perfectly in an M7 tanker shoulder holster repro for a 1911. I forget who made mine, but I believe the retention strap was oversized for double stack pistols. There's slack, but not sure how much tighter an original or stricter reproduction would be.  

Actually going to pick up an M3 as something to simple and quick to toss on.

I am glad OP found one.  But Heritage has several Barkeep holsters for around $75 on their website as welL as cylinders and grips.
