How do you like it? Why did you buy it? What do you use it for?

Thanks.

I like mine just because it’s fun and I enjoy Beretta’s. Probably going to get it threaded one day. Attachment Attached File

Is there enough barrel to thread?

I have the Taurus version, one of the older all metal ones.  Fun little gun, reliable as long as it's clean and lubed and running ammo it likes.  Surprisingly accurate for what it is.  Why do I have it?  No reason.  Friend was selling it cheap.  Gave to my sister several years ago.   For some reason she gave it back to me.  I like it.

I've owned 4 over the pasts 25 years and liked them but sold all due to the single side safety as I am a lefty. I love the tip-up barrel and the mag release shoots the empty out.

I don't have a 21a, but I do have some 950s.   I like them.  One 25ACP was my carry gun for many years before KS got concealed carry.   The other was my grandfathers so it's priceless to me because of that.    I picked up a 22 short with the intention of suppressing it, but I seem to have missed out on the easy to swap barrels.  it's still a fun little gun though.

I have one. I bought it to carry in my pocket to dispatch coyotes, foxes, and bobcats when I am out predator hunting. One round of 22 in the head does not damage as much fur and is much cheaper than a center-fire round. It's got a couple of hundred coup d'etat and a few rabbits to its name. As you probably know already, it does not have an extractor. The gun depends on the blow back action of the slide to eject the spent casing. Therefore, the chamber must be kept clean.

I have the .22 one and a threaded barrel for suppressed use. It is very quiet and fun as hell to shoot. Will not eject 22 short or 22 subs.

So damn much fun.

Is there enough barrel to thread?

No, not externally.  Only a few people do it.

I own one.  It was my first handgun.  I used to carry and shoot it a lot.  Now it gets shot a couple times per year.

I also have a 950 (Minx?) in .22 Short that belonged to my Grandmother.  She carried it in the woods while mushroom hunting.  She was a genius at finding morels.  I'm not sure if she carried for 4 legged or 2 legged critters; probably both.

My .22 21a will only fire one magazine full of ammo before it malfs.  Tried Stingers, Mini-Mags, Aguila whatevers....   Disappointing.

How do you like it? I’ve always wanted one. It’s fun. Cute. Cool conversation piece I paid $305 for.

Why did you buy it? See above. I’ve had a fascination since a kid having a cap gun with a tilt barrel and it’s similar to a bond gun.

What do you use it for? Suppressor host. Also another pistol to pop out at the range for smiles

Thanks.

It’s has 2 mags through it. Not inherently accurate too far but smiles.

We have a little issue. The mag release doesn’t seat deep enough to have purchase into the mag. You have to torque the bottom front of the mag upwards tilting it in to get it to seat so it got boxed up today for warranty work.

Also, Morgan at class three machining here can take care of your needs. I believe the threading and bung was around $120? Don’t quote me. I purchased a spare barrel off here to do it to

I look forward to getting it fixed the next week. I’m confident it will be good to go and then I will get the barrel on it

It’s accurate for what it is. I forget that the barrel is a little longer than the cartridge. I compare it to my kidd 6” charger and it’s obviously different ballparks. Pop cans at 10-20 yards are fun

Shoot, no unicorn here. I think the barrel only set me back about $50 here plus threading cost. It’ll be sweet when the guns back. I’ll have to put a video up

Here’s an obligatory photo I forgot I took. The two foster english (the peanut butter one part frenchie) bullies helping me box it up a few hours ago to ship out

I’m in the communist state of Maryland.  I told myself I wouldn’t jump through the hoops required here to simply purchase a gun, something I could do freely when I lived in Virginia (and Washington, Alaska, Texas, Idaho, even California when I was in my 20’s).  Screwed up state where we have to petition the king for permission.
Soon though....

I used to sell directly with their r&d department and talked with them about mine and told them how everyone would want one with a threaded barrel...

Pretty sure everyone owes me a huge thank you as their r&d director told me that they were going to make a new model with threaded barrels because of my suggestion.

One of those is a .25acp 21a and one is technically a M21EL.

I swear I had another 21a somewhere. I do have a handful of various other little berettas in .22 short and 25acp. I thought threading one of my .22 shorts would be fun but the one guy I normally have do my stuff couldn't do those.

I've got a 950 in 22 short I'd really like to have threaded, but haven't had any luck either.   On the other hand w/ the price of magazines for it, I"m probably better off not doing that.

Yep. It was Morgan on here (offers his services in the EE, big threading thread) who did my 21a. Figured he could do the 950BS 22 short as well so I actually picked a couple of them up. One to thread, one to leave normal. Unfortunately he said he couldn't do those.

I was on a little Beretta kick for a while. You can find all of these fairly cheap. Pawn shops, gun shows, etc.

I think it was him I asked about my 950 also.    I've had the little 950s for many years.  Carried one of my 25s long before KS got concealed carry.   We didn't have nearly as many options back then, and it had to be well concealed for reasons.

I need to thank you guys for informing me that threaded stuff is coming. I've seen nothing anywhere else that I normally check.

I want a threaded barrel for my Tomcat. I won't buy a whole new gun for it, but I'd love a barrel. Most threading places won't touch them (even Morgan , at least not anymore) since it requires an extension be fabricated and installed.

I don't want to derail this thread with more threads, so I made my own thread about it: http://www.ar15.com/forums/Handguns/Factory-threaded-21A-and-3032-Tomcats-coming/15-195003/#top
