I have a BHP, once of the Browning ones made in Portugal, and replaced the hammer / sear / safety / trigger with Cylinder and Slide ones.

It really improved the trigger pull, and it's a great gun.

Haven't had any issues with it with different ammo, including Wolf steel cases, but today, out of a box of 50 S&B ammo, I had about 10-15 non-fires from a single hammer blow.  Of those, all but 2 eventually fired with repeated blows, usually the second, though some took 3 hits.

The hammer is the skeleton C&S version.

Has anyone ever had light primer strike issues with this hammer?  It looks like it has less mass than the rounded ones.

I'm thinking it's just the S&B ammo, though I've not had primer issues with them before.

Thanks,
