A local place has been getting a steady supply of 380, 9 & 45 and they have kept prices around $.50/round. They are limiting it to 2 boxes so everyone had an opportunity to get some.

They have been only getting sellier&bellot and magtech. Is there any reason not to buy and use it?

S & B is good stuff.

Some folks have issues with Magtech, but I'll still buy it. Especially in this panic.

I remember Ruger saying not to use S&B in the LCP because the primers were too soft and would clop up the firing pin channel.

Then Taurus said not to use S&B in the PT709's since the primer was to hard and wouldn't ignite.

Then I bought a CZ85 B, the test target that came with it used S&B ammo.

That's cool of them

I've shot lots of s&b and no issues

Less experience with magtech, maybe 300 rounds, but no issues

Both are good range rounds

I have nothing but good to say about S&B.

I have bought and shot cases of it in 9mm and 45 ACP.

Good stuff, same company actually.

But I believe Magtech is produced in Brazil. S&B is czech based to my recollection.

But I've shot thousands of both in 9mm and 5.56

i've shot tens of thousands of S&B in both pistol & rifle calibers, its one of my preferred brands for range work.

When I worked at a shooting range a decade ago magtech was usually the cheapest brand .38 ammo we could get from our supplier.  Don't recall any issues.

S&B is high quality European ammo.

US ammo makers smash the primer pocket and flash hole into place, while S&B precision machines them.

Buy S&B with confidence

If I recall correctly, Battlefield Las Vegas uses Magtech.  Someone might check me on that.

S&B is fine by me.

Magtech is ok for practice but the 9mm hollow points aren’t what I would want for hazardous duty carry.  IIRC Lucky gunner has vids of them with poor penetration because they flew apart early.

If you can pick between the two get the S&B.  If you can't get anything else, Magtech has been okay in my experience and what I've heard from others, but get something else if you can.

S&B is a go to brand for me.

Have a friend I shoot with sometimes who shoots a lot. He's a big Magtech fan.

S&B is totally good to go.  I've shot thousands of rounds of it in all the pistol/revolver calibers I own, and also in 5.56.  Buy and use with confidence.  Their 7.65 Browning (.32acp) is loaded to real European levels and is my go to round for any small blow back pistol that has proven to be a picky eater.

I've shot a fair amount of Mag Tech 9mm FMJ and .357 and it's always worked for me, but faced with a choice of the two in the same caliber, I'll take the S&B over it every time.

S&B and and Magtech have been very reliable for me.

Most of my 7.62X25mm is S&B-no issues with it other than it likes to split case necks in my CZ 52.

Magtech is the easiest to find .38 Spl around here now, though there is some PMC available. I haven't had any issues with it either and would consider it good for general shooting.

For anything like hunting or defense I am not sure either load bullets that I like, but it is good ammo.

S & B is one of my go to ammos. I've never had a problem with Magtech.

S&B is my #1 choice for 9mm and 45acp. It's all I'll run through my evo .

S&B is good stuff for loaded ammo. Seems a bit on the warm side for range ammo so probably a closer analogue to carry ammo. Only downside I've found is the brass is a little soft and doesn't last if you reload.

S&B makes good 9mm, If any complaints it's their primer sealers gets on the Breachface and requires aliltte more clean up.

Magtech is one of my favorite ammos. I have shot alot of their .45 acp. it's clean, accurate and full power.

You would be correct, they use magtech

Recently a tried Magtech and S&B 9mm 115gr FMJ side by side. Both ran great. The S&B was a little hotter. Accuracy wide one gun preferred the Magtech while the other preferred the S&B. If I could chose only one, I'd probably get the S&B but Magtech would be a close second.

Magtech is consistently among the best overall ammo I’ve ever used.  S&B has also been 100% for me.

I prefer s&b. Their rifle brass is also more “normal” and loads with the pack better.

My fnx45 doesn’t like to feed CBC from slidelock for some reason. I won’t be buying more because of that.
