All I'm seeing from Safariland is models for guns w/ RDS AND light attached.  Nothing with ALS that accommodates just the pistol w/  a dot.

ALS is great, love it.  Do any of the RDS models keep the gun secure and fit well with no light attached?  I'm aware there's a barrel plug in play.

I'm open to something lvl I that's other than ALS, like a WRS hood, or SLS hood (although I don't think it'd clear the optic).

No, this discussion is not about pros/cons of a wal.  The pistol will not have one.

Specifics: G19 w/ Swampfox Justice.

I'll leave the benefits of a wml out of the discussion for now except one. Holster fit. You can have the holster you want by adding a x300. Take the batteries out if you don't want a light. Plus you'll have a standoff device to keep the slide from getting pushed out of battery.

Cool stuff, but I'm not seeing anything over there with lvl I retention, just passive retention open top.  Got that covered.

I use a safariland 6390RDS for my P320 RXP full size. It’s made to fit an X300 but i don’t use one, just the red dot. Locks in just fine.

Look for a Safariland 6354DO. They make them for Glocks w no light. I’m using one in this video. 6354DO
