I'm surprised I didn't see an photo threads of handgun mag collections here like there is over in the AR15 forum.

Anybody have any pics?

Just pics of Pistol Magazines?

How many does it take to be a whore or in the running?

I probably have between 75 and 100 Glock mags.  Probably 60% 9mm, the rest 45 and 10mm.

For most of my pistols, I own at least 5 mags per, usually more.

I've got about 50 SIG P320 mags, and close the same amount of M&P mags - all 9mm.  I tend to keep 8 minimum.

Between 7 Glocks, I think I have about 80 mags, Most Glock, but I'm liking the Pmags for them...

My other pistols (not for carry or comps) I have maybe 6 each...

My Ruger MKII target pistol I might have 12 for it.  Not whoring for it.

I don't have any pics, but each handgun has a minimum of 5 mags. But I'm always buying mags when I find good deals.  I've got probably 20 Glock 23 mags, 10 Glock 22 mags. And a bunch of Glock 9mm mags.  Figured I'd buy them cheap in case of any future mag cap limits

If I were a Glock guy, I'd maybe use Pmags for range stuff.  But Glock mags are already so cheap...why use anything but factory Glock mags for any other purpose?

Does this count?

(That picture is a couple months old, so I've added to the number since it was taken.)

Can you get new Glock mags for the 17 and 34 in 17rounders for under 16 bucks or 21 rounders for under 20???   I used to be able to a LONG time ago, but I've not seen prices like that in awhile.

If so, I completely agree...

I've got several of each and I use the 21 rounders in a local comp, they work great and for the price I don't think you can beat them.

Never got the whole "I need MOAR MAAAAGS"

I usually buy six per magazine type....I usually get thrown Glock/AR mags a few times a year so it is what it is....I don't buy anymore. Now when it comes to 1911's and 2011's specifically, mags arent cheap....So 6 is my magic number.

FWIW....I'm not an apocalypse prepper or one to stock up in anticipation to sell next election....Even though you'd think those election buyers would get smart after an election cycle or two.

I lived through the 94-04 Federal AWB when 15 and 17 round Glock mags were $100+. I also see the writing on the wall that it's not a matter of if, but when, the Democrats gain enough of a majority to enact more "common sense gun laws," to include magazine capacity restrictions. I will have enough mags for myself, my kids, and my future grandchildren to be able to shoot my pistols.

This, but also it's nice to have for the range.  I like to load mags at home and not the range.   Having a few dozen mags makes range trips more efficient.

Magazines are expendable, but still too expensive to abuse them needlessly.  I try and do more "tactical" reloads (retaining my mags) than combat reloads where I just let them fall and move on.  Still, I try and have at least 9-12 mags per primary caliber (9mm, .40, 45) self-defense or "service" sized pistols.  I'm not quite here yet for most of the sub-compact single stacks. I do try and get a half-dozen or so mags for the pocket pistols, but ultimately they are an investment in saving time during training or at the range.  And yes, I'm a magazine-ban survivor...Crappy pictures, it was a quick effort for inventory purposes, but you get the picture (pun intended)
