You make a compelling argument.
I really like the blued finish but amp afraid of how it’ll wear with a lot of carry. |

Have a look at the DW ECP, aluminium round biutt frame, bull barrel, flat top serrated slide, great sights.
Slide has a different design, but it looks good in real life....

My money would go to a 9mm Colt LW Commander 1st or Dan Wesson Guardian in 9mm. I like shooting 9mm 1911's.

I have a WC Commander. Great shooter. Zero issues with it.
Probably my favorite pistol that I own. |

Question for anyone that wants to chime in: how’s the recoil/shootability of alloy framed 1911’s?
I tend to shoot the hell out of my guns and would prefer something enjoyable. |
