What's the general experience with these guns? Is the accuracy typical across the various models?

I had the opportunity to fire the M17 a few weeks ago at our range.  It was a very good shooter and the one I shot was very accurate.  Haven't shot a lot of 320's so really can't compare but I will say that I'm not really a 320 fan but if I were to buy one it would be the M17 hands down.

I don't read magazine reviews. So I'm not gonna bother with that one either.

Is the P320, in all its iterations, accurate?  Yes. Is just about every modern pistol, in all their iterations, accurate? Yes. It's not like there's only a select few firearms that let you keep it all in the 9-ring. Most pistols are capable of more accuracy than most shooters. What's gonna make the difference is how you mesh with the pistol, not how mechanically accurate it is.

Yes.  Accurate.

If you're considering any iteration of the P320, it comes highly recommended. They are accurate, easy-shooting, ergonomic pistols and the aftermarket is rapidly expanding to support the increasing popularity of the platform.

Buy with confidence

Accuracy puts my P226 Legion to shame and I was carrying that for years and l still love it. P320 very easy to breakdown and clean.

Have we ever been able to confirm that the "real" M17 does or does not have the mechanical disconnector?

When I took the 320 armorer's course it was right about the time SIG had started the whole voluntary upgrade program. The program was new enough that pistols so modified were not covered in class. But the instructor did tell us the civilian guns were being modified into the pattern adopted by the army with the M17.

Military M17's did get the voluntary upgrades and are going to black controls, M17 commemorative exactly like initial military M17

In the days of, "Bore Axis Bro", that thing is sky high.  I thought it was decent, but not enough to want to own one.

On the plus side, the higher slide helps keep those of us with larger hands from getting cut.

Another bit of M17 news.  Probably nothing we don't already know from other sources.

I bought a P320-M17 Sunday night from Cabelas. Haven't shot it yet but it feels amazing in my hands. I'm really becoming a fan of Sig. I bought mine without the manual safety. Got it cleaned up on Monday so now I just need to shoot it. Paid $649.

I need an OWB holster for this thing now. Just no idea which one.
