I was privileged to have gotten to work on this Luger.  It was raffled off in the American Handgunner Magazine in 2005.  Several artisans worked on this gun, custom engraving, work on a non matching donor Luger to make it a Baby Luger, custom laser engraved case, gold inlay, custom grips.  I got to work on the rust bluing, strawing, fire bluing. Reduced barrel length and grip length.

This is what I started with.  Before engraving, gold inlay, and bluing

Neato.. I joined the guild in 2005. Neil Kellar's Luger? I know he loves making those baby lugers!

Yes, Neil made that one.  His initials are on the top of the rear toggle link. Georg Luger used his monogram on the rear toggle of some early Lugers too.

THAT is a beautiful firearm! I don't think I'd want to own it though, I'd just end up scratching or dinging it up.

I've always wondered, how does one get into a guild? Are you invited in, tested on your skill, fold space with your mind, or do you submit your work for approval?

I dont really know how to join.  The Guild sponsered the gun, but they allowed me to work on it without joining.  Here are a few more photos.
