How difficult expensive would it be to take a Ruger SP101 like this:

And add a rear and front sight like this:

I'm no expert but I think it would actually be impossible at any cost.

Bump and Tagged to be told I'm wrong.

ETA: Like look at the roll pin on the front sight of your first example.  I dont think the dove tail on the TALO goes down that far.  Then look at the top strap.  On the TALO it's flat all across the top.  I think if you wanted to mod your gun to mimic the TALO a lot of the top strap would have to be milled off and you'll still have an issue with missing material from the top strap sight groove.  But, like I said, I'm prepared to be told I'm wrong.  In any case, even if it could be done, it would be hundreds.

I'd call Novak's and ask them since it's there sights used on the Wiley Clapp SP101 as shown in your picture.

Would probably be cheaper to trade in the one or sell outright, and buy the other.

Handgun shipping is expensive.

It would be easy with a mill and a dovetail cutter. 20 minutes to actually cut. Probably take all of 2 hours when you factor in disassembling, fixture, cutting, cleaning, reassembly. I'd say $150+ the cost of the sights.

I like this post so much, I'm going to carry my wife's SP101 to the store in 5 minutes.

There aready are a couple of options for the fixed sight SP-101

Two that have not been mentioned are the type that Bowen installs
https://gunblast.com/Bowen-SP101.htm

and a S&W rear sight

Depending on where in PA the OP is located, Mark Hartshorne (https://pinnaclehighperformance.com) might be local and is known to be a very good smith.

I've seen improved sights on 101's before that were pinned into the frame.

Here's one example. Dateline 2012-

And I think Model 60's can come with a factory enhanced sight package too. Practically the same gun. Just throwing that out there.

I sent my 3" 101 to the Cylinder and Slide shop for a S&W J frame rear sight. I never realized how accurate the little gun is until I had sights that actually worked for me.

Adding the Novak style sights to the SP101 are a piece of cake for gunsmiths who do combat conversions on revolvers.

I guess I'm dating myself, but I like the S&W rear sights, with tritium inserts. Those can be done as well.
