I did the finish work on this Baby that the American Pistolsmith Guild put together and raffled off in 2005. Neil Keller did the mechanical work, Brian Powley did the Engraving. A fun project. Laser engraved top of the custom case

That is beautiful.
When you blue a pistol with gold inlay, does it have to be cold blued? Or is hot bluing okay? I realize the gold is inert (relatively) to the oxidizing salts, but I've always wondered about the effect that hot blueing had on the gold inlay. |
