I  picked-up a couple of pinned S&Ws in a trade deal.

Attachment Attached File

A 1948 2" .38 Special M&P and a 1979 3" .357 Model 13-2. The 13-2 is also recessed.

I also got a 3" S&W branded holster for the 13-2 and a custom made lined one for the M&P in the deal.

I traded a 13-3 4" square-butt for the 13-2 3" round-butt and a extra Marlin 30A .30-30 I had for the M&P so I ended up with about $550 in the two. Pretty much a wash worth-wise though.

The 13-2 got a set of Craig Spegel designed Uncle Mikes Combat Grips I've had squirreled away. It's a damn shame they are no longer made as they are the best rubber combat grip I've ever used and really tame the .357.  Something to do with the owner of UM having a falling out with the designer (UM made them under licence) or some such about 10-12 years ago.

Yeah, it's a wholly different animal than the Model 13 square-butt that I traded for it. Perfect balance.

You always fall into such great deals.
The 13 3” is one of my grail guns and any 3” K is exceedingly hard to find. Value wise you paid for the 3” and got the 2” for free.
While typical 4” K’ s can be found in the 3-400 range without any trouble, finding a 3” for anything less than $500 would be close to impossible.
As usual you done good

Less than $700 is damn hard to find. 3" K frame is the best carry revolver ever made. It boggles my mind why S&W doesn't make a modern version of it.

A three inch Model 13 is a $800 pistol.  The two inch $400 to $500.

People kill for three inch k frames.

I scored a 3" model 36-1 2-3 years ago at a gun show from a walk-around for $350. I felt like I robbed the guy at gun point. He told me had gotten NO offers on it at all before I bought it just before he left.

OP, I hate you! Just kidding. You always do wind up in these deals where you come out ahead... Sometimes I feel like I could fall in a Pussy Patch and come up with Dildo scars and bruises... But most the time, no, everything is well... I love both of those Revo's especially the 3" K M13... A 3" Round Butt whether J, K, or N frame just balances in the hand to me like a 4" 1911 with slim-line grips to me. YMMV... Add a Tyler T to those Magna's and it's the Bada-Bing! Well, for me it is anyways! Thanks for sharing!
