Never even give it any thought.
On 1911 9mm's are The 9 round mags better than 10 rounds or vice versa?
One more reliable?
This is a new game for me, a 9mm 1911

I've used Wilson 10 round ETM's for quite some time. I have no complaints.

I have a RIA 9mm that choked constantly with the factory 10 round mag.  I bought 8 of the Mec-Gar 9 rounders and don't have any problems with them.

That's my one piece of anecdotal evidence for you.

DW TCP here, it doesn't care about 9 vs 10 rounders. I haven't tried any cheap-o mags but any of the known quantity mfgs have been GTG (CMC, Wilson, Mec-Gar, etc).

Brownells mags always nose dive on slide lock reloads and don't drop free, but most people seem to have good results with them so grain of salt.
