Being that the 92 series does not use the browning tilt-lock style barrel and instead their barrels stay straight...does that mean that I could install a full size barrel in a centurion slide?  Obviously it would just stick out a little more.

I ask because I have a threaded barrel for a 92 and am thinking about getting a 92X centurion.

I am also assuming no changes were made to the locking block/barrel so that I could use my 92 barrel would work in the 92X.

Yes, a Centurian will fit an even longer bbl than a standard size. My Centurian takes this 5 3/4" ported barrel without any issue.
