It’s pretty easy. You don’t even have to remove the mag release spring from the frame entirely. Use a small, flat-blade screwdriver to pry the mag release spring upwards in the frame. Go slowly. Once it is up enough to allow the ambi mag release to come out, remove the ambi release, install the single-sided release and then push the mag release spring back into place.
