This spring marks 5 years of carry for the old g43.

Carry this on me everyday except for when I'm at work.

Has been submerged and rained on during rucks, ran with and got super salty from sweat, to the beach, and about 1500 rounds through it.

Upgraded to all the new part numbers as they have been released(super early MFG).

Pretty happy with the way it's held up. Gun scrubber and slip EWL about once every month.

Yup, work too much.

It's my carry gun so I don't beat it up. I verified function initially with a bit over 500 then only cycle carry ammo every few of months.

I love my G43 and have carried it more than my G19 or G26 for the past 2 years now.

Out of curiosity what parts did you replace? I had to replace my Slide Release because mine was locking the slide back. Called Glock and they recommended I change it and since then I haven't had an issue but now I'm wondering what other early parts I should replace?

Boring.

In my last 5 years of carry, I have alternated between a Glock 19, 26, Taurus 85ss, Kimber HDII .45, Kimber Target ss .45,  Sig 320Medium 9mm w/ safety, Glock 19x, and Sig 220.

I shoot the heck out of every one of them.  Sometimes it simply comes down to picking the clean gun in the group.

Looks great, OP.  Hard to believe the G43 has been around that long.

She still looks pretty new.

I clean it every so often and keep an eye out for pocket lint.  It get shot (just plinking and in comps) pretty regularly.

Pearce +1 contoured with a Dremel.

I have them on all but one of my 43 mags. I keep one flush for pocket/ankle carry.

Really surprised the finish is about the same as mine.

These held up much better than the 17 and 26 I had carried before.

What new parts have been replaced? I thought the only major change on the newer ones vs. the early releases was the crappy connector.

Crappy connector and new magazines very early ones would hang up when inserted at an angle. Not sure of anything else.

Congratulations, OP. There are days I may carry more than one gun depending on what's going on. Nice to know some people are able to do what you do.

Magazine catch too.

They said it didn't change on the phone but molding changed when compared side by side.

G43 always stays concealed.

Sometimes belt carry the g19 IWB as needed but I don't go somewhere if I'm that worried, not in LE.

I was expecting to see one of those guns that have the slide seized up due to a build up of dead skin and pubic hair.

Was the magazine issue just a follower and/or springs that needed replaced?

Mine started locking the slide back 2-3 times out of 50 rounds. After some experimenting I called Glock and Alan told me to replace the Slide Release which I did and it stopped the issue. He said the early ones might have had weak springs.

I have one about that old as well.  I was recently retired by this one.

It is a bit more accurate than the older one as well.

Same lol, although I do carry a g48 now

Although I agree on glocks in general, I’ve been through a river with mine, cold, hot, snow, sweat, northern cold and southern hot. Lol they endure and work!!!

I've carried my g26 for 6 years, only wear is from my Jean's button from appendix carry, I shot 600 through it at the range. Now I practice with a different g26 to keep my carry gun low round count and wear internally

I've had my 43 about that long.  Was my primary cleaning up after Hurricane Harvey.  That gun lived in sweat and backwoods off for a few weeks.

I got my 43 Blue Label the same week they were released. Carried almost every day. Just took this pic for this thread.
The picture doesn’t seem to show the wear very well...but it’s there and covered in dust/lint.

*well never mind. Do we need to host our pics to post them up? I thought team members could just directly post pics now..?
