With the release of the 19X, 45, and updates/enhancements to some of the gen5 guns this year, any ideas what Glock has planned for Shot Show 2019?
Good question, more models without the cut out in the front of the grip?
Yes yes, it does do good, it is true. But being outspent by bloomberg because some milquetoast fudds keep getting outmanuevered sucks. Realized this isn't GD, posted from my phone! |
I'm guessing a single stack in 45 (like the shield or XDS) or 40.
If I were gonna guess, given recent releases, 9mm with no cut outs
and additional calibers added to gen 5. The freaking cut outs just need to find a happy ENDING. I have big hands and cut outs are a bother. That's why i have not delved more into gen 5's, although I like the improvements so far. Ditch the fucking cut outs Glock...... |
I’d be happy with them deleting the cutout and making front serrations standard on all Gen5’s from now on. I’d also like them to release Gen5’s in new calibers for the US market. I’m still wondering what the G44 is too.
Front cut has got to go.
Front serrations need to be a permanent thing. I have no use for them, and really don't like them, but enough people insist on them and it does not bother me like the frigging front cutout does, so put the front serrations on everything and leave them on for good and the front cut needs to go away forever and never return. |

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say nothing. Nothing at all. They've gone years doing nothing before, and they already did a lot in 2018 calendar year.

A 43 platform that competes with the P365 some how some way and maybe a Glock 19 SF that takes the same magazines along with it? Or the reverse 19x, a 17 slide on a 19 frame or a 19 slide on a 26 frame. Those are my predictions/desires. I always felt as though Glock has everything everybody wants, but does not release them until, they really need to, because they are Glock after all.
What did people want 10 years ago? Maybe Glock will finally grant that wish.
I’m a big Glock fan but they are always behind the ball on what people want. They tend to “join the party” of what other companies have already done. It will probable be a 26x (26 slide with a 19 grip). |

Hopefully deleting the cutout so people will stop complaining about it.
I wouldn't be surprised if they introduced front serrations/abominations on all models just to standardize across the board. |

Give me a 19 with FS and no cutout or a 45 MOS and I'll be happy.

Never happen until Glock starts using non polymer mags. Polymer is too thick to get near that. View Quote I don't know the 365 dimensions off the top of my head but i see what you're saying. The space for polymer in the mags could be used as space for rounds instead. ETA: looking at the dimensions, seems it'll be about .5" taller than the 365. Makes sense cuz of the mags |

They will deny BTF is real. View Quote BTF = limp wristing + denial. |

My wishlist?
1) a 19 with the front serrations but no cutout 2) a 43x that is close in dimensions and capacity to the 365 3) a 29x and a 30x. Same size slide but a grip that's the same general length as a 19 |

Sticking with what they know, they'll never get near the micro market. They'd have to make too many changes (as stated above of what Sig had to do). That's ok, though. I LOVE Glocks for what they are (and in my mind, they are battle ready firearms. I don't think that way of Sigs). The last thing I'd want is for Glock to try to compete (by doing everything differently) and come out with a dud that hurts their reputation. |

You don't need Glock for that, I deny that is is real. Had a buddy claim that his G17 Gen 4 was BTFing with almost every round. I got it from him fired a few mags (same ammo) and didn't even get one to come close. He took it out again and BTF all over the place. He sold me the pistol and I still have it. Shot it a few weeks ago, 4-5 mags through it and not one BTF. BTF = limp wristing + denial. View Quote |

Glock replaced my early production 17Gen4 because of brass to the face issues. Sent me a brand new one because they said they could not fix it. The gun ran fine for 1500 rounds then crapped out. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

My guesses:
G17 and G19 and other 9mms with front serrations and no cutout "G43x": grip lengthened 1/2-3/4 inch for 8 -10 rounds 40/45 calibers will have some updated models to gen 5 (not 2 pin) but with improved trigger, no finger grooves, marksman barrel, front serrations Offer factory 8 round mags for the current G43 MOS with some 40/45 models |
We already know that they have done a G22 Gen 5... so it would only be fitting that this be their "big reveal" at SHOT.
I'm glad that they make insanely awesome and reliable pistols because they severely suck at everything else. |

I've carried a G19 forever, and the G43 has been on my short list for a bit, but if the G48 rumored in the article is true, it's the perfect Glock. Thinner than a G19, same slide length, and a 10rnd capacity. That's my dream carry gun right there. Slim, light, enough capacity to make me happy. Slap on a spare mag and call it the perfect EDC. I'm impatiently waiting, Glock...! |

Quoted: This and the 43X will be the star of their show. We have a big thread on it in GD View Quote That said, the G48 looks great for a slim carry gun. I've shied away from subcompacts because i just don't like shooting them compared to a G19/G17 sized gun. Very interesting times. |
