Wouldn't fire, slide wouldn't retract.  Ser # puts it in around 1952

So I took it in since he was totally clueless about semi auto pistols.

Still in original box, with papers and two vintage boxes of Win LR.

Looking it over and the old .22 ammo, it looks like only 10 rounds were ever fired through it.  Very clean except for a tiny amount of residual powder.  Essentially still pristine.

Some corrosion under left grip panel.

Began cleaning it tonight.  It appears the mainspring was frozen to a point, but now getting a workout.   Disassembled again for a deep soak.

This 70 yo pistol is a time machine.

Had a SS 5" bbl 25 years ago that I regret selling.  I might ask him if he will be willing to sell.
