I accidentally put this in the main HK board but got no traction so trying again here.

So Ive recently become privy to people converting their full size USP40s to 10mm and it looks pretty straightforward, but whats the situation with the 40SK? I can't seem to find any major suppliers carrying anything relevant. Anyone know of someone with the skillset/hardware for a project like this?

I’ve personally given up on a HK10mm and just adopted the .45 Super

Would 10mm ammunition even fit in the magazine???

I would think the likely candidate for conversion would be the .45ACP pistols since the frame dimensions would readily accommodate the 10mm cartridge.

A USP45 converted to 10mm would be sweet.

An STI 10mm mag fits in a USP40, albeit needs a catch dremeled in.

The reason for me even making the thread was because it was my understanding that the P2000 was based on the USP.

The frame of the P2000 and P2000SK line is smaller than the USP40 because the magazines of the P2000 line are metal unlike the bulkier polymer magazines the USP9/USP40 series uses.

Video said he had to buy a new barrel because he couldn't ream the factory HK barrel. Company that he went with for new barrel that he mentions - efk - doesn't make a P2000SK barrel.  USPc barrel isn't the same.

P2K SK might be a stillborn project unless you can find a barrel source.

I think this is the right answer. I was thinking about doing a 10mm USP and having the slide machined some to clear a live round, but I don't see the upside when compared to .45 super.

Not much real world difference.
I’d still love a HK 10mm but I’m thinking more and more about a USP .460 Rowland

That’s about the ultimate woods setup for me at least
