What's recommended? I know Wilson is usually the answer for many here but I've not had 100% luck with them in .45ACP.

I was thinking maybe Metalform or CMC. but I'm open to other suggestions.

Metalform is all I use.  I've got some going on 10 years old and still perfectly reliable.

The reviews for Wilson 10mm mags at Brownells are absolutely terrible.  I don’t know if these reviews are made up bs by competitors or legitimate gripes about the quality of the magazines, but it sure did surprise me.

I use the 2 that came with my DW Bruin.  I believe they are metalform.   I also purchased 4 other metalform mags (they look exactly like the Bruin mags minus the DW logo).  I think I got them for $13.99 each.    I have not had one issue with them (knock on wood).

A friend of mine has a few Wilson 10mm mags & he has had quite a few hang ups.

My personal experience with Wilson mags has been perfect with .45acp mags.   I have one 9mm Wilson mag (about 2 years old) & it has been the only 9mm mag that ever gave me issues.

You'd do well to try your existing .45 mags before spending money on 10mm mags you may not even need.

Wilson used to have issues with their 10mm mags. They got redesigned a couple years ago and now run great.

I have 7 factory and 5 Wilson mags for my Delta. Both have been flawless.

I’ve been a 10mm guy before most herd of that cal.  I ran cmc 10rnd .45 mags cause I could get 12rnds in them which was a Advantage in IPSC in the mid 80’s and they just ran.  10mm recoils less than .45 which leads to faster splits.

I have Wilson, Tripp and MecGar 10mm mags. I prefer and have the best reliability with the MecGars.

I’ve been in to 10mm 1911’s before most Ever heard of that cal.....my second Custom Commander came in 1999.  For my Delta I ran CMC 45 10rnd mags with great success and I could get 12rnds in them which was a advantage in the game.   My gunsmith cut down metalform 10mm to Comm length now Metalform makes them and they run Perfectly!!

Now in 45 I prefer Wilson flat out bar Non.  I broke one once... called Wilson and they Next Day sent me a replacement No questions

I saw this tip here some time ago and tried them. Damned if they didn't work perfectly.

Does anyone know if the Wilsons are offset to the right a little to prevent the bullets from hitting the lug of the slide stop?
