Has anybody seen one of these? Seems like a great setup.

The MAC dealer locator lists a couple places local-ish to me. I might be curious enough to go see if it's available. But then if there's one available, and it's nice........dammut.
I'm a big fan of the Tisas Service special I bought last year. I got one of the $300 parked blems from Centerfire Systems. The blem was is light spot in the park about the size of a dime, just ahead of the ejection port. It is nearly criminal to pay only $300 dollars for that gun. I've read the hit-n-miss reviews, but I got a super sweet one. I can only imagine how it would act if it were to get a massage from a good 1911 house. Let's say this gun is on-par with my Tisa GI, it's main competitor would be what? Something from Springfield's Loaded or TRP lines? At half the price..... |

That looks nice

Yeah, I don't know how much fortitude ill have resisting these if they are good to go. I have been thinking of grabbing a couple of different Tisas, a 9mm 5" Duty and a .45 Raider, but now I'm thinking I might have to find one of these instead. >The qpq finish is very classy, Cerakote is practical, but the metal treatment seems a lot nicer. >Crowned stainless barrel >Brass bead and Bomar rear >Textured front strap >walnut grips >mag well The only thing I can see that I would have preferred would be an undercut on the trigger guard, but its not a huge deal, and it might take away from the 80s aesthetic they are going for. I don't think there is anything really in direct competition with it right now, and I need to get a few Tisas, Usually when something good is going on the imports suddenly end, and we're back to over $1500 for something like this. My SA OP TRP was my second 1911 after buying a cheap RIA to see if I even liked the platform at the time. I have since expanded a bit more..... |

Commie dictator governor was making noises about 10 round mag limit on weapons so I decided to up my 1911 inventory a small bit. Got a GI and IIRC an Operator... had some improvements over the GI. Both nice and tight.

Safety on the right side - no use to me.
Doesn't appear to have the FLGR so that's a bonus. I like the sight setup. |

Nothing too difficult to overcome but it should fit all the most popular WML out there without issue. https://www.ar15.com/forums/Handguns/How-to-get-a-TLR1HL-on-your-Tisas-railed-Carry/57-208762/ The rail on the 5" guns have an extra rail lug so I don't believe there is an issue with them. |

Doesn't look like a bad pistol, especially at it's price point.
I'd swap out the trigger for a Videcki though. |

Link to available one?

Reminds somewhat of my Springfield Range Officer. None on gunbroker yet. I'd swap out the flat mainspring housing for arched, I do that will most of my 1911s.

I like it. The brass front sight is old school cool. Tisas seems to be on roll and making some nice 1911s…

I digg... but they need to chill with the branding.
Kill the knife-MAC logo and revise the font to look like a GI style- or go virgin slide. Disco Stu doesn't advertise. |

For $700 shipped, these are a great deal for what you get. I always wanted a 1911 with adjustable target sights and this one has the cool classic Delta Operator look to it. I wonder if these are a limited edition or if they will be dumping a lot more on the market? |

Cartoons behind the serrations is a modern fad that kills the retro vibe. I get that the left side markings are intended to emulate GI Slides... but the legitimate representative example that keeps popping up in pics uses an Isr*eli hard slide... and Tisas did not even spend a minute duplicating the correct font and spacing. Virgin slide is 100% the way to go across all the models, but they've taken a step in the wrong direction recently with the Rambler, the Gambler, the Trucker, etc... and now this. It's frustrating because they are 98% of the way to Victory, and they could even save production costs by not ruining their product marking it all up. |

I've always been curious about the rear sight placement on the Tisas with the "Novak Style" rear sights. I wonder if the placement is correct, and how much work it would take to put some real Novak sights on them.

Wow.
The price really is right on that. |

Just ordered one from Atlantic also. Very excited, this is my first 1911. I’ve been eyeing the various Tisas models and then saw this. It’s exactly what I was looking for in a 1911.

Looks to be a hell of a value! It’s got a lot more going for it than the raider for not much more money. |

The trigger is really decent with minimum creep. The safety is solid with no mush at all!!!
