Thanks. It's a REAL attention getter when it's belching balls of fire at the gun club. |

I am thinking about a Keltec as a pocket gun. How do you like it compared to the Tomcat?. I love the Seecamp but they are at a premium right now in addition to the added weight in my pocket. .380 or .32?. I am a little paranoid about the recoil in such a light weight gun with the .380
The Tomcat, while small, feels downright bulky compared to the P3AT -- it just doesn't disappear in your pocket as easily (what does? ). My Tomcat had a horrible trigger, but I've read of others who did not have that problem and I refuse to over-generalize based on n=1. The side-by-side profile photo I posted above (Beretta 3032 Tomcat, Kel-Tec P-32, & NAA Guardian) doesn't illustrate the thickness issue at all (the Tomcat is IMO unnecessarily thick in grip area, whereas I can't think of a handgun thinner than the little KTs), but you can at least get an idea of the relative "footprints." |

I would like to find one of these as well. |

I believe that you can just hack off the grip to make it shorter to take the 19 mags, which of course still works with all the other Glock 9mm mags. Side benefit is making the folded size smaller. Second hand info, FWIW. |

before you do it its a goos idea to play with a factory 19 grip. i have kinda small hands, but the factory 19 grip Sub is way small.... NO WANT! |

Hi Hardshell Long time since I spoke to you. Saw your post about Kel-Tecs. I saw the PF-9 in the American rifleman. Any thoughts? I traded away my j-frame smith and I am interested in another BUG Still-Learning |
I'm still a little hesitant about buying a PF-9 for two primary reasons -- (1) the apparent QC issues with the early iterations and (2) its size doesn't fit a niche/need for me right now. The QC issues have been/are being addressed and I feel sure that the bugs eventually will be (if they aren't already) worked out and it will be a reliable little auto. The size issue is a personal thing -- like the smallest Kahr (which I tried & which is roughly the same size/weight as the PF-9) the PF-9 simply won't "disappear" in dress pants for the completely discreet carry that I need in a professional office setting, like my P3AT does. Outside the office, I comfortably carry my G19 and have no need for a smaller 9mm. I will still probably pick one up eventually, "just because," but it isn't a pressing need or desire for me right now. Someone who wanted a 9mm in that size range and just didn't like the Kahr or didn't want to spend the extra money on one might very well find the PF-9 a good choice for them. It might also be a good choice for coat-pocket carry (for those who do so), but I already use a J-frame S&W when I carry that way in the winter (all 3 or 4 weeks that we usually have of it down here ). |

I have one. It originally took Glock 17 mags. With about 30 minutes of work, a dremel, and a file it takes G19 mags instead. Works great. |

Is that the factory Kel-Tec Scope mount? How good is it? |
It is, but I modified it. As it is designed and comes from KT, it rotates freely around the barrel to move out of the way for folding and is spring loaded to deploy when the SUB is unfolded. It was loose and didn't return to any reliable zero. It's a well-made drop-in unit, but I just didn't care for it. I reversed it, did away with the spring, and mounted it tightly/securely to the barrel at a slight angle/offset to still allow folding. When using the red-dot I hold the SUB at a slight angle, but it is comfortable and became "natural-feeling" very quickly. A slight can in the other direction and I am back to the irons, unobstructed. It works pretty well, but I admit I hardly ever even shoot the thing any more. |

Any know the scoop on Kel Techs 308 bullpup thats supposed to be coming out next year? Like price and when it will be available for purchase.
Also I heard their handguns seem kinda cheap and barrel life expectancy is a couple thousand rounds. What are your guys' take? |
I've read around $2,000 for the .308. I have 3 Kel-Tecs and all 3 are great but around $2,000 for the bullpup is kinda steep. I've read some people with 2000rds + in their P3ATs and P32s. I have only about 300 rounds through my P3AT and no problems so far. Remember the small P3ATs and P32s are ment for close SD situations. |

How do you guys like your PLR 16 pistols? This Saturday is my birthday and there is a gunshow locally! ...and I have plenty of trade fodder! |
Street price on the entry-level version is likely to be much closer to $1500 than $2000, according to what I've heard/read. There is a whole forum for just that rifle here: www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=499 |

I have a Kel Tec P-11 9mm and also a PLR-16. I only have pics on the P-11, but will snap some of the PLR, and post soon.
I have a 15 rd S&W 69xx (?) stainless 15 rd magazine that fits the P-11. I also have the mag/grip adapter so the extra length of the S&W mag matches the grip profile allowing for a better grip. Just over 200 rounds through it and not a malfunction. I've shot some hot corbon +P (older stuff) ammo through it, and while still controllable, it barks loudly and even stings a little. When concentrating, I was able to hold 3.5"-4" groups with Win Silver Tips at 25 yrds slow fire sand bag rested, so I am confident at 7 yard self defense range this gun is not only reliable, but also accurate enough for my needs. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v88/viper1357/Guns%20stuff/Kel%20Tec/keltec988.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v88/viper1357/Guns%20stuff/Kel%20Tec/keltec990.jpg |

Did you get your mags plated or did they come like that? |
I had them plated (along with the P3AT slide) by Jack Fuselier: Kel-tec slide plating |
