This is what Tucker jut said... this kinda scares me... I had no idea we were this far down the road. Seems those numbers say we essentially are in a race with Europe to wipe our way of life out of memory..

The problem isn't the number that is foreign born. The problem is that there is a significant number of people already here who don't believe that there is a uniquely American culture, or if there is one that it should reign supreme, and the cultures of those who come here should give way and be curtailed in favor of that culture. We no longer make newcomers "American" like we did with the Poles, the Irish, the Italians, etc. Now we bend and kowtow our culture in their favor. |
| I don’t care where you are born. I care what you believe in. I can think of a half dozen first generation American citizens who are better Americans than most fifth-generation natives. Without question though, we are importing a lot of people who neither understand nor appreciate traditional American values. |

Yep. I have quoted that figure here before when stating how important it is for the right to not alienate legal immigrants. Many immigrants are hard-working, religious, and family oriented...and most came here because they believe America is great. Does that sound like a leftist to you?
Take one to the range and explain the Second Amendment to them. Most don't need to stretch the imagination to understand the threat of tyranny. They could be our strongest allies. |

Looks French or Italian.) Both legal immigrants and naturalized citizens. I will say this about the legal/naturalized folks. They can very American. They had to work hard for it. And they vote.
