...anyone else in the same boat?

not planning on going back

I cut it because I never watch tv or sports anymore and I don't want to give those cock bags any more money.

I haven't watched the news on TV in over a decade. Bunch of con men and propagandists.

I like HGTV and DIY. That's pretty much it

I have not watched any news since the night of the election.  Fox News (Business) is dead to me.  I don't have OANN, or I'd watch that.

Just now you decided to stop watching?  ffs

I don't watch TV. I can make  better use of my time...

I'm amazed you were watching network news up until election day.
Link Posted: 1/18/2021 11:40:20 PM EDT

Same. The only thing I would be mildly interested in hearing about would be some independent investigation into the election fraud. It's hard to believe that half the country just lost all faith in elections and nothing is being done to regain integrity.

I quit watching many months ago, long before the election

No way I'm turning that crap on. The other day I hit the wrong button(s) on the tv and I found myself looking at George I'm a Pussyottomus and some other idiot and it just made me gag. I like old westerns, Gold Rush and a few other movies. I'm too busy doing other stuff.

Haven't watched network, or any other type of news really, for 10 years.  I learn most of what's going on by decoding the propaganda contained in headlines and screechings of leftists on social media.  Oh, and whatever you fuckers post here.

I quit cable and tv basically in late June.

I don’t watch sports and the way they present the weather makes no sense.  The news is so badly distorted that it’s just a stupid waste of time.

For me, today makes..... Oh about.... A decade. What took you so long.
Link Posted: 1/18/2021 11:57:01 PM EDT

Well over a decade, probably closer to 20 years.

Honestly post-9/11 is was pretty obvious it was a propaganda/psyop outlet, not real news.

Anyone else remember the news reporting US killing the same Al Queda guy a half dozen different times? It's like they weren't even trying to hide it.

Quit watching after election too.
No more cable/ satellite TV.
If it's not on Netflix or Amazon then nope.

Its been years for me. I don't watch local news either

I cannot remember the last time I watched anything other than  Motortend ( formerly SPEED )  ,  and when it repeats too many times,  I will switch to GAC if the RV show is on, or HGTV .

IMO the only reason I even have cable it the cost difference between having cable internet only and cable with TV& internet is not much different here.

I cut broadcast and cable TV 11 years ago... all I washed were the news stations... always on, background noise.

I haven't missed any of it.  Best thing I ever did.

I haven't watched any news that didn't come from here.

feeling pretty disconnected.

and honestly...pretty nervous.  Police come by the house and I am wondering if they are looking for me now.

it's crazyland.

Ya, I did.  I use an app called Xumo; came with my TV.  Watched a bit of NBC and ABC news.

Propaganda and drug commercials.

Lasted about 20 minutes, and I think half was commercials.

Turned that shit off and resumed my normal life.

Been watching YouTube videos of theme parks and working my way through all seasons of MST3K since the election. Radio is nothing but streaming music. If the world ended I wouldn't know unless somebody called or texted me. Or I saw the Arfcom thread. Arfcom is now my only source of news.

I don't want to watch, but I have to. Anything I watch on TV is Full Woke, so why not watch The News?

Shut it off on election night and haven't been back since. I've also shut off many of the talk radio guys. Rush is about all I will listen to and he's not on much anymore

Same.  I thought I was the only one.

I’ve actually focused my efforts to collecting books and movies that I feel will be banned one day.

I built an 18tb home server after the election. Welcome to the digital library.

I'm 53 yo and have never made a habit of watching tv news.
Used to watch the first 6 minutes on channel 6 highlights and weather.
Then i got weather on my cell phone and no need for even the first 6 minutes.

When I cut cable months ago, the only msm channel I still receive over the air is ABC, no way in hell do I watch David Muir on evening news.

When I donated blood two weeks the prelim blood letting and BP test proved it. No msm news, lower BP.

I cut the cable and TV about 12 years ago. I moved back in with my 87 yo Mom last year. She watches that shit religiously and at a loud volume. I can hear that fuck head david manure from ABC in every room of the house.
My Dad had a Toughshed built in the backyard before he died. I really need to convert it to a Fortress of Solitudetm

We haven't had cable since 2002.

We watched something the other day on IMDB and my kids were literally ROTFL over the commercials.

They've only seen commercials three or four times in their lives, they recognized how manipulative they are immediately.

How ironic. For the very first time since Election Day, I turned on CNBC to see to what the enemy had to say. Then I turned on Newsmax. While I appreciate Newsmax and do want to support them, my blood is now boiling. I’m sickened, I’m pissed, and I’m worried about what’s to come. What really aggravates me is I feel like in the near future I’m going to be forced into a position to make a life changing decision. Fully comply or completely and utterly rebel.

I quit network news after the hit job the MSM did to the 2A after Sandy Hook. I quit television after 24 stopped airing on TV.

I've been spending most of my time on various forums, video games, audiobooks, and YouTube videos.

You become more informative after you stopped consuming the mainstream crap and their commercials.
