I’m in - just got it set up and running. Dedicated my 1070Ti to it when I’m not using it - not worried about shortening the life, since I plan on upgrading in a few months anyhow, and I really only use it to play World of Tanks these days.
Holy crap it seems to be fast. The spreadsheet linked earlier said 800 points per day if I was reading it right, but the client is estimating 85,000 points per day and is still increasing. Hope it helps :) ETA: Well over 100k estimated now, and still increasing quickly. |

I am not 100% sure.. but after I added this to the config today, My points jumped significantly. And acquired the CV-19 work units. Could be a coincidence. Figure I would pass that on. A user recommended doing it but didn't explain the reasons. Also, make sure you get a passkey for your username with folding@home

First time trying it, I joined the AR15.com team. GTX 1070 and i5-6600k. I kind of feel like I'm sitting next to a space heater
 .

There has been a rush of new donors, so their systems are a little overloaded. They actually ran out of Work Units yesterday, so the priority has been generating new ones.

Just joined. Seems they are quick. Within about 15 minutes of downloading folding got a unit and then joined the team.

I just started back folding yesterday when I saw Arfcom has a team. I used to do it a long time ago for PC Pit Stop, which I think is defunct now.
I also just recently ordered a new to me computer. Should be able to really crank out the WUs with that thing. Time will tell though. I'll put the Tesla to good use though regardless!

once the weather gets cold again I'll fold off and on. don't do it in the summer because my pc is upstairs and it's hot enough with out adding extra cpu and gpu heat

Just downloaded the updated version and started folding again. Replaced dual 970s with a single 1060 after upgrading my upstairs machine to a 3060. I'm getting about 1.4 - 1.5M PPD.
I see the AR15 team is down to 123rd place, maybe my million a day will eventually pull us up a bit. |

Replaced the spare 1060 with a GTX 3060, which raised my PPD to over 3 million. Seems some work units drive the PPD down though, I'll have to research a bit when I have some time.

I reconfigured a bit and added a 3080TI, so one system is running a 3080TI along with a 3070, and another system is running a single 3060. I only have about 6 spare GPUs going back to 970s (
), maybe I'll throw one of the 1070s into the 3060 system and get a few more PPDs while heating the basement for winter.

Looks like there are still 13 of us contributing and we're holding steady just outside the top 100 at 110. I'm still cranking on Alzheimer's even though COVID seems to be the flavor of the day.
I have a spare GTX 1070 is one of you still folding may need it, send me an IM. You can get approximate PPDs for some graphics cards here. I was using two rigs with two video cards each. The systems were old leftovers from the kids that I cobbled together but time has caught up with them and thermal load had one needing to reboot about every other day. I decided to just upgrade one of the systems a Xmas present to myself. I went with a MSI MB, Intel i5, Corsair iCue 5000D case, Corsair iCUE water cooler, an RTX 4070 and added a spare RTX 3080ti as a second GPU. It has 7 fans in the case and has been running very cool (CPU at 32c and the GPUs at 75c) compared to the old system. I might be able to squeeze out 20M PPD between the two systems, but for now, the 4070 is not impressing me, it's clocking in at 3070 rates.
