I've been wanting to add a keyboard of some type for home use for awhile, if for no other reason than to get more used to hearing different chord voicings...I've done some playing in the past, mostly in college in the theory classes and as a bass player trying to get back into the jazz world, I sort of feel like its mandatory to be able to be able to play piano/keys in at least some rudimentary fashion.

At first I was looking at the Yamaha P125...but than while in Sam Ash I made the mistake of walking over to an Arius YDP163...damn that thing sounded pretty amazing...I now have one on its way to me.  (frieght delivery which presents it's own set of problems but I'll figure that out).

Nah, if it scratches the itch and satisfies you, it ain't overkill.
