Been wanting to play around with simple app development - I'm not looking for a career change - however, I did enjoy coding somewhat when I did it many years ago - Java and C++.  I enjoyed being able to enter code and then see a product run, even if it was quite simple, or tweak a code and see a change.  Just looking for something to teach me or that I can learn from in my spare time in the evenings for relaxation.  

I have a mac and xcode already installed where my kids had taken a class on ios Apps, so basically have what I need to start.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
