Mounting the Propane tank tomorrow.  Dont need that thing bouncing around.  And I really need to get the tire onto a bumper tire carrier.

That is impressive OP.
3 questions-
1. What fabric did you use?
2. Where did you get it?
3. What did you glue it down with?
Thanks in advance

@Tejas1836

1. Indoor out/door carpet. My local HD has a "rug" for 24 bucks. Think it was like and 8x10 or something like that. I have some left over. ETA 6x8.
2. Home Depot
3. Gorilla Glue Spray.

Looks like you did a pretty good job covering them.
I'm sure that carpet is not super forgiving on corners and angles.

I've done a few things on a few Custom Car Audio systems (Enclosure, consoles, door panels, etc..) and I'm not as good at it as I'd like to be.

I've seen shops build and carpet boxes that didn't come out that good.

Thanks. Came out well!

I do have some areas that didn't come out as nice as I'd like, but still clean.   The cuts around the locks was a pain in the butt.

I'm impressed. My carpet skills are severely lacking.

I keep waffling on building one for my FJ.
I've got a removable toolbox big enough for the essentials including my battery chainsaw but drawers are cool...

I like it much more now. (Although I need to get the tire built onto a rear bumper).  MUCH better than the totes I would use.  Things are 'in place' now and I don't have to worry about it.

Looks great.  I love my drawers and would add them much higher on the list for another build.

@thezentree

I am not sure, I didnt notice the rear drop any.  I can also move it around myself, so not too bad.

You do not want to get into a crash, and have a propane bottle become a projectile. My opinion.

Like the boxes, and when I figure out what truck / SUV I want, I will purchase some, as my wood working days are mostly over. Nice job, and good luck.

Perfect concern for the tank.  I did look at this for that reason as well.  (Also in the event I roll).   On the bottom of the tank, at both sides where it meets the box, is a mechanical metal that hooks through the base of the bottle and connects to the box.   Its kind of hard to see in the picture, but you can kind of see where I went with it.

To load the tank I lay it down and put the hooks in the bottom of the tank - rotate the tank to standing - strap in.    So the hooks go in parrarell with the base, and once rotated they are opposite of one another to avoid coming out of the tank.  If that make ant sense describing it...
