YouTube deleted what appears to be thousands of “dislikes” from videos on the official channel of President Joe Biden’s White House. The company said it’s a part of its regular efforts to remove engagement it considers inauthentic.
People on the platform noticed that dislikes have been disappearing by the thousands from several White House videos and started posting before-and-after screenshots on social media shortly after the incoming administration took over the channel and published its first videos. The screenshots indicate a total of at least 16,000 dislikes were removed from at least three videos. Even after the adjustments, the five videos on the channel had about 14,000 likes combined versus nearly 60,000 dislikes as of 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 21. In response to a screenshot of one of the videos, YouTube told The Epoch Times that it’s monitoring engagement on the site to detect and remove activity it considers spam so that only engagement it considers organic remains. The mechanism worked as intended in the case of the Biden video, the company stated. “YouTube regularly removes any spam likes or dislikes from your videos,” the company stated in a 2019 tweet. “It may take up to 48 hours for the numbers to be updated.” It isn’t clear how YouTube discerns between authentic and inauthentic engagement; the company didn’t immediately respond to a request for further details. Disagreeing with someone is now justification to silence them. Scary times. These "private companies" need all immunity pulled from the immediately. They are acting on behalf of the state, thus behaving like actual facists, they are absolutely not private companies when the only reason they are even able to function is due to politicians on the payroll.

They've done it to my comments. I get notifications, keep track of the likes, then after a day or two, they're all gone.

They did this with Jen Psaki the communist’s briefings on YT today as well. She started out with like 10k dislikes and this afternoon it was down to 3k or so. This is blatant, they do not hide anymore.
ETA: See the post below with the screen shots of Psaki. Fuck I hate even typing that POS’s name. |

I'm currently paying for no-ads on youtube, does anybody know of any kind of ad blockers that could take the place of that so I can give them less money?

Who said walking dead was fictional television? Zombies everywhere are zombies. The sci-fi channel
Z. Another show but more comical. The undead were given mercy so they wouldn't have to suffer anymore or make those around them not have to suffer or risk being bitten and infected. Demtards are like a brain eating disease. |

YouSuck does do this with what they call "tagging mob attacks" that down vote, report, or make negative comments on videos.
What they go by is whether the dislike, report, or negative comment was made by someone who actually watched a significant portion of the video or not. In the back system how much of the video was watched by the person disliking, reporting, or commenting, whether the volume was up or not, whether the browser tap the movie was in was the primary active window "on top" in your computer display or not is all put in the algorithm as well as you displayed "authentic human behavior" of skipping through long commercials or not. All that data is compressed into a data tag connected to your dislike, report, or comment to give an "authenticity score". So all they do is go in and adjust the settings in the back system to remove/ignore dislikes, reports, and comments below a certain threshold "authenticity score". You are quite correct they do apply such enforcements very unevenly and will stand by and do nothing against a similar "tagging mob attack" against a video they don't like. If you want your dislike, report, comment to stay around and count you need to actually watch enough of the video that it's like you actually tried to watch with the volume up and click through to skip the long commercials after the obligatory first five second count down. One trick is to plug in earphones but don't put them on and run two separate computers with separate towers and monitors side by side. One for YouSuck with headphones plugged in but not worn and the other one to actually do what you want to do on the computer while watching YouSuck vids in full to upvote or downvote on the side on the other machine, small monitor with brightness turned down on the YouSuck second machine helps as well as the earphones trick. |
