Works out to .15/rd
I'LL BE FLIPPING IT. AMMO: (It's new stock) Federal Champion 22LR 36gr CPHP Federal Auto Match 22LR 40gr LRN Yes/No? |
Nope. I’d buy a pellet gun before spending money like that on 22 ammo.
ETA... price isn’t bad. I just don’t have that kind of money on hand. Easier to accumulate that amount over time for me. |
Lmao .15 cpr for .22?
No It doesn't have enough satisfaction per squeeze at 15 CPR IMHO |
Depends on what ammo it is. CCI SV: yes. Thunderbolts: negotiate to 12cpr
That's going to depend on what it is. 15 year old thunderbolts? CCI?
I have paid far more per round for .22 ammo. If you're going to buy it and flip a chunk of it, dropping your effective price, maybe. |
Nope.
Paid the most I've ever paid today, 5.5 cents per round. At Walmart. Last big purchase of them I made was Blazer from PSA. $149/ case of 5500. Delivered. I only ordered 2. Then a third. A buddy got 10!!!! |
That's more than I'll ever shoot, so no, unless you're looking to flip it.
Wow, I had no idea people are buying .22lr for over 15 cpr (which you need if you're flipping it).
IF you have a good market that will but it for over 20 cpr, then yes, I would buy it. |
Nope. It is 22LR! The market will return. $.06 per round or fuck yourself. I’ll wait it out and I have thousands on hand.
I voted no, but on second thought, you could double your money quickly if you resold it.
?? Vig on the money, length of time to unload ? How much work to flip ? All in one shot or 87 trips to meet people, ship out ?
Probably not. If I owned a LGS and no prospects to buy @ a lower price or quantity.. sure. If nothing else, to increase foot traffic by having product. |
Just selling it at .16 cpr will net you $300.
But you would have to sell all of it. |

No. I dont need 22lr that bad.
I bought when it was 4 cents a round. For flipping purposes, how much do you stand to make off it? 5 cents a round? 15 cents a round? |
Where are you going to flip it.
Looking at gunbroker, right now prices don't seem to be that high. |

View Quote Right now, .14 cents per round would be the profit, assuming I could sell it all, based on current online sales. So, $4200. |

People buying ammo to sell like a commodity item as a side hustle is probably one of the main reasons that availability has gotten as bad as it has.
If you're not buying it because you need it, or for your kids to shoot some day etc, leave it on the shelves for someone else to shoot or stash. There's no other reason to stick your hand out and get involved in distribution, other than greed. I literally see nothing wrong with buying 30K, holding it to shoot over a decade, or keep in deep storage for future grandkids, as a hedge or whatever, but: if you are buying ammo to make a quick profit, you are selling out the very future of our lifestyle, which is already looking bleak. |

View Quote Yup. Got Win .22 at Walmart this am, 5.5cpr. 3 boxes of 333. That guy before me like, as he bought 5. I left all the Stingers. Gave one box away already. Sold a brick of 500 Rem Goldens to a newbie with young sons for $15. So they all can shoot. He tried to give me $50. Told him I only paid $15, if that. |

I'm selling Federal 36GR 22lr right now at 20cpr. CCI is going for 24cpr.
It is not selling at 40cpr on GB at least.....and not in the consistent quantities you will need. If you are OK with 5cpr profit then go for it. It's still a little high for me. I bought 40K 22LR last week for 8cpr...... |
If you can make money than why wouldn't you? Make sure to account for shipping to you and to your buyers

You may be in for a rude awakening if you think people at gun shows are going to pay the same top dollar that ammo goes for online. There's a new guy at the local shows I go to with two tables of ammo, .22 at 20 cpr and .223 at $1.50 per round. I don't think he sells enough to pay for the tables. Everyone else is selling .22 for 12cpr and .223 is .80-.90 |

hell no! not for 22lr. i got it for $0.05 two fridays ago at basspro. bought 3 boxes. should of bought 6 and called it good. now if i could only get away from weekend work and night shift i could shoot my 22-AR

Quoted: You have 69 feedbacks. Did you flip any of those sales? View Quote None of those items were an essential commodity made volatile by political action in "unprecedented times". Essential to the continuity of basic ideals that we hold dearly. All of those items were things I bought, used, changed my mind about and passed on to another user. Durable goods, mind you. You can't use up a box of ammo and then put it in the "hand-me-downs" shelf at a discount. Free market and you're not my supervisor all you want, but every time an arfcommer picks up a brick and decides that there's enough meat on the bone for a quick flip, we are selling out the future of our own movement. |

Don't forget to factor in fees at Gunbroker and PayPal. You can probably make $500-1000 depending how well your auctions do. At worst you should break even. |
