There is a cold front West of DFW. Amarillo is showing 22 degrees.

I guess it's over, maybe.

I went in every day this week. First day in the pickup in case I needed 4wd. Took the Civic the rest. Take it slow, you'll be fine.

I haven't seen an Amazon, UPS or FedEx truck in days. I'm in Arlington. They will probably get back to it tomorrow. Supposed to be back over 50 degrees.

Just de-iced the driveway and 1 car. Had to use a crowbar on the ice before shoveling.

I'm not being a Richard at all. I truly worry for people in warmer areas when they get hit with cold/snowy/icy weather. It's treacherous to drive on regardless of your experience level.

My mother, born and raised on the Northern Plains, was terrified of it and flat out refused to drive in it/ on it unless it was an absolute emergency. It had to be something like one of us kids getting sick or dad needing med supplies for the cattle or horses.

20' x 50' of 1" to 2" sleet packed, frozen rain soaked-refrozen ice. I cleaned the cars parked on it as well, so less shovel and more hands on.
Fuck.
It started raining. Hopefully this shit ends tomorrow.

Good tool. I would have gotten out the garden tools, but muh shed is iced over. No getting in there until it melts. I don't want to fuck up the paint.
My fucking trash dumpsters were iced shut since Tuesday. I was able to break them open today at about 2:00.

Have one had it for years

Up here I also have many bags of ice melt salt, a combination of magnesium chloride and calcium chloride

But it is as easy to find a loaf of bread, most of the time

Fed Ex did NOT deliver today.    I get they're backed up.  And I'm grateful they've not gone anti 2nd Amendment like UPS, though some of my distributors are still using UPS.
