Flags should be made of simple polygonal shapes and basic colors.
If your flag can't be constructed by a child with a set of safety scissors, appropriately colored construction paper, and a glue stick, it's too complex. |

Boobies are cool. Plus, that whole death to tryants thing, even though it's more for show than to mean anything. |

The South Carolina flag is one of my favorite. Some you who say it looks Islamic need to read your history books again. The flag has serious significance during the revolutionary war. Look up Col. William Moultrie.

We have a visually sad flag. I'm not going to depress myself by posting a photo of it. Just take my word for it.

Quoted: I'm glad you mentioned the Ft. Moultrie Flag as it is time for a history lesson. The Ft. Moultrie Flag was designed by Col. Moultrie to fly above the Fort to protect Charleston from the British in the beginning days of the Revolutionary War. It is also known as the Liberty Flag for the Liberty in the Crescent Moon. The Crescent Moon is a symbol for resisting Tyranny. The Ft. Moultrie Flags historical significance is just as important as the Gadsen Don't "Tread on Me Flag" or the 1st Navy Jack "Don't Tread on Me" flag. The South Carolina Flag was designed from the Ft. Moultrie Flag. In today's trying times I can think of no better flag to fly than the Ft. Moultrie Flag. Display the Crescent Moon as a symbol to resist the Tyranny we are currently experiencing as Conservative Americans. Liberty shall be ours!! View Quote This. The folks who compare the SC flag to some Islamic kingdom should crack open a fricking history book and educate themselves. The palmetto tree is for the palmetto log fort at Sullivan's Island. The crescent moon is the gorget, a symbol of courage. Some have also pointed out the moon is the symbol of a second born son who inherits nothing but has to work for their lifestyle -- the heritage of the earliest English immigrants to SC (DH Fischer). The SC flag is one of the best contemporary flags for a direct link to symbols of the founding. |

If your flag can't be constructed by a child with a set of safety scissors, appropriately colored construction paper, and a glue stick, it's too complex. View Quote Hey, it was an adult man who colored a rectangle green, drew two concentric circles with some milk glasses, and stuck a stamp with the face of George Washington in the middle and sent it to the flag company for Washington state. The Boeing 'associates' in N. Charleston, SC all are required to wear company shirts with the SC flag symbols on the shoulder or arm or they get sent home to change. They're supposedly given several shirts a year by the company. When one wears out or gets stained, they have to turn them in and they get sent out to some place where ladies pick off the thread's of the embroidery and then destroy the shirts. They said it was so they didn't end up in local shops or such where someone could buy them and then walk into the plant like they worked there (without badges????). The sad part is Im not making this up, this was the official story from Boeing in their literature. |
