Since Euripides made the original Medea, when he did his plays he would have to include his name so people didn't mistake his Madea with the classical Greek play. It is a need for recognition due to insecurity, most likely. This is common in black communities. If you spend any time in black neighborhoods, you will see all sorts of billboards for churches and businesses where the biggest feature of the sign is the owner's face (sometimes with his or her spouse), and the owner's name. You may also notice fliers for people's birthday parties, or other such events, that are printed up to look like some sort of playbill for a big Hollywood premier. "Shitty Productions Presents: Some Woman's 21st Birthday featuring Some Asshole and DJ Ballsack". Their lives are mostly empty, and meaningless, so they need to make a spectacle.
In short, people like him love to see their faces and names on things, no matter how trivial, because it is some form of empowerment. |

His fan base consists of white women, virtue signaling white men and hypocritical blacks who sit in church every Sunday condemning homosexuality but then go home and watch a Madea movie. They’ll watch anything he does simply because he’s black. These folks get really mad if you point out their hypocrisy. A few will admit they believe he’s down low.
It’s a game, they pretend he’s not gay and he never publicly admits it. It’s a shame that black culture is so homophobic that even the most successful black men can’t be themselves. |
