I’m a fucking idiot and you never let me know. I buy 100s of magazines for the boog. I train, I practice changing mags, I shoot. But the bolt is open when I put a fresh mag of fuck you into freedom gun. A full mag into a closed bolt? Nope. Not gonna happen.
You have forsaken me arfcom. |

ask your husband to load your rifle
Sorry, someone was going to do it though. |
How the fuck did you not know that man. Either smack that bitch good and hard or download it by 1-2
You just have to push it up there harder. Giggity. There's enough room in the mag body for the 30 round stack and follower to move down enough to allow the mag to seat.

Hmm...."GI SPEC mags will properly seat and function with 30 rounds"...SFC ESOLA (RANGER SUT Cadre).

I own 36 AR's. They all seat fine with 30 rounds in aluminum GI mags on a closed bolt. What's the problem?

You're only using 30 round mags and not 120 round drums?
Your funeral. |
The question is, why are you doing this? If you're loading the rifle, the bcg ought to be open anyway.
Does yours LRBO not BO on the LR? |

50 years of Tribal knowledge getting passed down and you haven't been paying attention.
They WILL seat. You just have to be energetic about mag changes as a practice. Noticing such things is a good thing. You're thinking. Get some training. Some Mags are shit until they settle in. Some are shit and never will. Some Rifles have no issue, others can be fussy. Work that shit out on the range. |

The only malfunction I’ve had on any gun was not slamming the mag home. I must be the biggest idiot there is. |

They seat just fine, fully loaded, in my FN Scar16 ....stop being poor.
Lol, you really think you are gonna get to use "hundreds" of mags in a firefight.
make sure you don't have 31 in the mag. A 30 will seat with a bit of applied pressure.
Don't hit it with your purse to try and seat the mag. Pull up your big girl panties and smack it hard.

And of the two that won't, one takes Glock 9mm mags, so no go obviously, and the other is in 6.8SPC, so never felt a reason to try. |

Every single one of my mags - USGI aluminum, gen 2 PMAG, gen 3 PMAG, HK steel, HK polymer - seat perfectly fine on a closed bolt with 30 rounds. 30 round mags are meant to hold 30...maybe put down your purse?

Because they do, just fine. Stick it in there like you mean it, don't be afraid to break a nail.

You should be loading when you want to, not when you need to.
