So far WD40 doesn't do it. Happened at 10:50 and it's 3am now. It'll be completely dry by the time i get a different solvent.
Out of mineral spirits and lacquer thinner seems like it will be too strong. Kerosene? |

I suspect anything that will remove it will also damage the clear coat.

Need to find out what type of paint it is. Enamel isn't hard to remove with the right solvent, laqquer can be harder, water base, you won't touch it with the wrong solvent but the right one will get it off no problem. Hit up a real auto paint store.

You need to get out of Toledo. Lived there forv10 years, moved out and havent regretted it once.

Mineral Sprits are what I used to get paint off of my wifes car. She hit a red post when she went to fill up her tires.
It only took a second and it came right off. It did dull the surface a little but I used Mcguires polish and it Shined right back up |

Dot3 Brake fluid and kitchen scrubby pad.

We used to us Easy-Off oven cleaner. Try to use it in a small inconspicuous spot first. |

Mineral spirits. Turned my white truck white again after it was stolen and painted a tan-purple when I was in high school. Can still see some of that fucking paint if you know where to look.

A Claybar and Autoglym Super Resin Polish took care of it when my neighborhood was tagged. Little Fuckers got over 40 cars and trucks. We help most neighbors get it off.

All bad advice.
Mineral spirits won't work, nor will naptha. Acetone with a soft cloth is best. Paper towel may leave some scratching. Acetone will dry extremely quick, and it won't soften OEM paint. If you rattle canned your car, then acetone will screw that up. Lacquer thinner is good too, providing it's automotive and not the new zero VOC green stuff. |

Denatured alcohol. I cleaned the side of a white van with it. Didn't damage the paint, couldn't tell it was even touched when done.
I have used it on street signs, mail boxes, etc. |

Start with a wax and applicator pad. If that doesn't work, try a clay bar with plenty of lubricant.
I've had success with just wax and an applicator. @ToledoXJ Looking at the pic, wax should pull that right off. Maybe 5-10 minutes work. No need for harsh chemicals. |

The best way is a low grit compound and a buffer. If your vehicle had a good wax or protectant on it, it will be a absolute piece of cake.
If you don't have a buffer, use elbow grease. |

I've used Easy off to remove a professionally painted company logo from a van once. Worked ok, could see the logo by the fading the paint did not the easy off. Spray a small spot and test with plastic scraper to remove. Have a water hose or water bucket handy. Oh, and wear rubber gloves, ask me how I found this out.

[#31]
Seek out professional detailers, or try local body shops. A buffer and the right compounds might work but most people would just end up doing more damage. There is some art to that kind of work.

to all the folks saying to sand and buff... Both of those actions will remove microns of clear coat, and when done improperly or excessively, creates a thin spot that will eventually break down from UV/weather and begin peeling. Sanding and buffing is a last ditch effort.

Dremel and sanding drum on low speed. Great for the small areas, and you can sand just the blue, avoiding the white around it.

paint thinner will take it off
or go to any autobody shop, give them $10 and ask them to take it off. It will be done in seconds, literally |

You can safely use lacquer thinner. I’m a pro painter and I do it all the time.

I was gonna suggest white spray paint. Go with the flow! |
