I have a 2013 Tacoma 4x4 with 50,000 miles and a 2005 TJ with 75,000 miles.

I don’t really drive much and don’t really need both vehicles so my inner minimalist is saying to sell one or the other. I don’t need the cash from selling but it annoys me to pay for parking for both as well as insuring them. I just can’t decide which to keep. First world problems.

Jeeps are for girls, so yeah, ditch it.

Which do you like more?  They both hold their value well, so you should get decent coin if you sell either.

Obviously, the Tacoma is more likely to have a lower overall cost of ownership as it ages, but the Jeep is a lot more fun.  Do you take the roof and/or doors off in the summer?

What are your priorities?

I’d keep the lower mileage, 8yr newer Tacoma.

I'd keep the Toyota, sell the jeep and find a cj5

That’s the problem. I like both. The Jeep rarely has doors or top on it.

The Tacoma is probably objectively the smarter vehicle to keep but I’ve scarcely been without a Jeep in my entire life. However I really don’t go off-road much anymore either.

I grew up in CJs and learned how to drive in one. I’d have another if I had a place to work on it.

I'd like to find one for a build but up here people seem to think they are made of gold.

Get a Sawzall and cut the roof off of the Toyota.
Remove the doors, and you've got the best of both vehicles.

I'm a Jeep guy.

With those two choices I'd go for the Tacoma.

Get rid of the Jeep.

Sell the Jeep.

Higher mileage and I would think a better resale value relative to initial price.

I also currently own both and am scared to death to sell either so I vote to keep both

Is the jeep in good shape? Manual or auto? You have a hard top or just soft?

Half or full doors?

Tons of mods or close to stock?

I'd personally take the truck, but you are also in a bit of a warmer climate to take advantage of the Jeep more often. If you don't particularly do any Jeep heavy things I'd be inclined to take the truck anyways, there has been a few times I've wished for a bed but it was too much of a bother to go rent/borrow one.

Either that or trade both in on the new Jeep truck.

I just did this. I sold a truck, kept the suv. I don't really miss it but I didn't have to sell either. Just helping out someone who got in a bind.
I miss having the extra vehicle.
I vote keep both.

Uhaul and $20 gets you a truck.

I sold my Tacoma for a Rubicon.  Will the Toyota be more reliable?  Most likely.  Does it suck to drive?  YES.
I equate driving it to driving a Toyota Corolla.  It's slow, not well optioned and not comfortable.

Sell Jeep.

Get full OME and ARB kit for the taco.

Is the taco four door? Got kids? Wife? Dog? Tacos on 33’s with the lsd up front and elocker in the back are sweet. This coming from an 06 lifted tj owner. But no wife, no kids, dog passed. So ill run the tj into the ground.

I sold my TJ in 2011 and I have regretted it ever since.

I have never had such seller remorse on a vehicle.

I'm in a similar situation as I have a Tacoma and an FJ Cruiser but I need to sell one of them because I need the garage space.  I'm leaning toward keeping the Tacoma simply because its a PU and much more versatile a vehicle.  So while I'll likely keep the truck I know I'll miss not having the FJ since its a fun vehicle for off road.

In your case, if you don't need the money or the space, I'd keep both if you can.

It's a TJ.

Keep the taco.

Or sell both and get a JKU/ JLU/JT

TJ is probably my favorite style of Jeep, Taco wouldn't really do much for me.

I would keep the FJ, more secure cargo storage room.

TJ is harder to replace, also the Tacoma is boring.
