Which mask are you wearing for grass cutting in hot, very dusty conditions?
To get more specific, zero turn kicking up clouds of dust to the point you cannot see where you are cutting.
(Please personal experience only not just something you read about.)

N95 with an exhaust valve. It’s no fun in the heat but keep my allergies from going nuts.

Thin, Stretchy balaclava. Keeps out the worse of the dust, and easy to breathe thru.

A furry mask. I would post a pic but it would violate CoC.

I normally just deal with it, then shoot muddy snot rockets in the shower afterwards.

That is what I used. It also the reason I had some on hand when this started.

Yeah it sounds like you have the deck set too low on tilling mode if you’re kicking up clouds of dust.  It will damage the motor if it gets past the air cleaner.  Raise the deck and check the air filter.

Then slap a 3m N95 on your face.

Good luck.

This.

It used to not bother me, then I got a case of the "olds" and now I seem to get a terrible headache and can't breathe if I mow without one.
Late fall I can get away with it assuming it's not been dry and the dust kicks up.

I wear a HD P-95 wit plastic mouth/nose cup.  It is the only kind that does not fog up my glasses.

Just bring it all back up later, and kick it down the shower drain.

I couldn't even spell N95, but when GD went apeshit buying them all up I realized I had a bag of them for yardwork.

RZ I've been wearing these in the field baling hay, woodworking and such long before china rabies was a thing.
