I was reading this thread recently, the OP has a picture of them burning live animals.
I ask - where do you personally draw the line? When does it stop becoming necessity, and start becoming sadism/cruelty? When is it ever appropriate to torture an animal that's already trapped? Is it okay if it's vermin like a coyote or a mouse? Interested to see the rationale behind it, and why people do what they do. |

What about drowning vermin in cages or kittens or puppies on a farm? Interesting question.

Never okay to torture an animal. How is that even a question? I don't care if it's a rat or an insect. Anybody who does so should be given the same treatment.

I once shot a raccoon in one of those “have a heart” traps. Fucker tore up our sweet corn.

It’s never appropriate to torture animals. Eliminating pests and vermin has to be done sometimes but it’s not an excuse for sadism.
Btw, welcome to our site fellow firearms enthusiast! |

Vermin are vermin. I don't make animals suffer unnecessarily, but I don't go out of my way to ensure that the way I dispose of vermin is exceptionally humane.

View Quote I don't disagree with that, but honestly I put field mice in the same category as spiders. I've had mice traps do some pretty bad things to mice and I've had to clean up blood all around the trap as they tried to free themselves before eventually succumb to their injury. |

Wow, Opie - drama queen much? You've already fucked up the other thread, so now you have to do a call-out thread to keep beating the same dead horse? Where do you draw the line? How many times are you gonna beat that dead horse?

Not sure how this is even a question for you OP? Never OK to torture, if you have some killing to do get it done and make it quick. Cruelty and torture of animals is a sore spot for me. Can't stand cultures that have no problem with it. The Chinese come to mind and their shit culture. I saw a video that I will never get out of my head. Huge wok, Chinese sitting around laughing, They open the lid and a dog, still alive, no fur, blind leaps out of the wok and they erupt in even greater laughter. Nothing COC to say about that.
People who torture animals as kids are often serial killers as adults, so there's that. |

I hate those glue traps, there is nothing "humane" about them. What choice do you have; let them drown in a bucket, throw them in a fire, smash them with a cinder block, throw them outside and let them starve to death?

Number Two on my father’s list of guidelines to “doing the right thing”:
“2. Do what must be done, but never bring unnecessary suffering to another living creature through malice or thoughtlessness.” I’ve lived this advice all my life, and thus far, I’ve not had cause for regret. |

i think any living creature your killing, deserves the most painless / quickest death possible, even vicious dogs deserve a quick death, as they dont know any better, but must be removed for the safety of all.
except traitors, child molestors and a few others, they knew exactly what they were doing. they deserve to be eaten to death by fire ants while staked naked on a ant hill, to scream in agony for days while being slowly eaten alive, to serve as examples as to why that kind of lifestyle should be avoided at all costs.. while crowds cheer in glee. |
