Considering the Daniel Day Lewis version is 28 years old and is about the tenth version made and a bit dated.
Who directs? Who stars? Who does the soundtrack? |

The new version will have gay Hawkeye giving Uncas the glad eye...

With today's Hollywood. Fuck..No. Nope Nope Nope.
The Danial Day Lewis version is good enough. |

In the new version the Indian dude will be a transgendered black female.

Be careful what you ask for. It will be rewritten with an all trans "women" of color cast and all the bad guys will have ar15s.

I love that movie. There wasn't a USA yet and they were fleeing to escape civilization. They knew what was coming

It would be better if they made Bloody Mohawk into a mini-series.

Natty Bumpo will be a homo sexual (the pause is important)
Uncas will be black. The Munro daughters will be strong, streetwise lesbians. Magua will be conflicted about his desire to homo sexually (the pause is important) engage Natty Bumpo AND Uncas at the same time. Chingachagook will be fighting white supremacy AND the patriarchy for the survival of the Wakandan tribe. Father Munro is your stereotypical evil (but somehow clueless) evil white male. Michael Mann will be nowhere near it. The movie will make $16,000 dollars in theater, win 8 Oscars, and Leslie Joe - I mean Leslie Jones - will tweet for weeks about how audiences aren't cultured enough to understand it. It will be shown at the White House and immediately inducted into the national archives. In 50,000 years, aliens will discover a print as they scavenge planet Earth for salvageable resources, and they'll immediately warp away for fear of being contaminated by the ugliness of the Munro sisters. |

That'd be like replacing dry rub ribs done to perfection with a runny shit log.
Even then people would defend the new bowel movement, saying "bUt ThE oLd OnE dIdN't HaVe CoRn iN iT!" Hawkeye will be played by Chris-Chan. All of the Indians will be black for some reason and Hawkeye's love interest will be a dude. It will also take place during WW2 because any history further back is "problematic" Quit remaking things |

There are a whole series of books that they can turn into movies. Leave The Last of the Mohicans alone for now. Masterpiece!

I drove past a historical marker almost daily for a year before I stopped, learned it was the spark point of the whiskey rebellion, which was in the furthest reaches of the newly established Country. I was in a ghetto-ass auto parts store and saw another marker while leaving; It was the "Battle of the Wilderness" pre-revolution; now it's very urban Pittsburgh. Braddock's field is another park in the ghetto. |

Dated? What about the film is "dated?"
Does it not have enough jump cuts, or pounding trap music for you? Does it lack a modern SJW message or actor "diversity?" Should it be shot digitally in 60 fps to make it look more "realistic?" Give us a break OP. |
