I remember my entire life people talking about "we need an outsider" and "washington is business as usual" etc. then we get an outsider who exposes what many have suspected about how DC operates and suddenly everyone only cares that "he says mean things". We finally got what we want then collectively got butt-hurt because he was not the slicked up grinning politician-salesman who talks nice but then backstabs you that we always get.
The establishment hates him because he's an outsider that should never (in their mind) be allowed into the club then had the audacity to expose them, and they and their friends in the media and silicon valley spent the last four years ramming hit pieces into everyone's throat fake shit that their stupid followers re-bleated to the other sheep. The Establishment Propaganda Machine has been running non-stop and people believe it. People here believe it because we have plenty of weak-minded idiots who believe what they are told then repeat it thinking everyone else will believe they're smart too because they don't (can't) realize not everyone is stupid like them. |

He was a lifelong NYC Democrat and no friend of guns. He shit talked all his fellow R's and was able to win. He was pretty much the guy we all knew he was but made it easy for his enemies to brainwash idiots with stupid Tweets. He did some really good things, got the economy going which people always said "we need to run the country like a business" and he did just that. He did an admirable job trying to bring troops home and end the stupid, money squandering wars. He sacrificed his brand and family business to try and help the country. He made a mistake not purging everyone from the start and that came back to bite him. He made a very bad decision allowing his SIL to do "deals" in the middle east which ended with arming the Saudis who are starving out Yemen for that last 4 years and selling them military equipment that Al Qaeda and Islamic State are now using in Yemen. He did a good job exposing the level of corruption the Obama Admin. had achieved. He's the last American President.

For me I don’t understand his moves for fighting the swamp especially once it appeared he’d lost the election. If you were really poised and fighting the swamp with everything you had why would you not:
Declassify everything to expose the plans and acts to shine light on it? Present the evidence and make the case for election fraud to the American people not just the courts? When trying to relay critical information why not seize the MSM airwaves via the EBS? Why so many known swamp creatures in his cabinet? Knowing the DOJ spied on him illegally, why has he not purged it? Same could be said for many out of control departments. I could go on, but the above makes me wonder: What were all the terms from his sweetheart casino bankruptcy deal greased through by a Rothschild? Has he been an asset for them this whole time? Has he sold out to the swamp by not declassifying everything in exchange for him and his family to be able to walk away? Seeing the whole story at the end of his term really highlights questions I have about him. |

His spending was wild and he shit on the 2nd and 4th. Lied about big promises to boot.
On the other side he did give us judges, got us out of shitty trade deals, and was proactive in helping to secure the border. He was the best of both choices in 16 and 20, but hes far from ideal. |

Gosh, maybe I am one of the idiots around here, but I always thought we had a Legislative Branch that drafts those bills and the Executive Branch just signs them, or doesn't and if they don't they can still be overridden by the Legislature and often sign bills regardless of agreement or not because they are popular and it looks bad. Or you're the idiot not understanding how the Government works and aren't aware that saying "socialism when trump does it" and "trumpbux" when it was a strongly bipartisan approved bill makes you look like you're either trolling or simple. The haters of Donald Trump, always have been, but now that he's appeared to be down, they all pounce on him on the forum, and showing their true colors. Most people don't have anything other than to say, "muh bumpstock", but keep this in mind, he's a newyorker with no knowledge of firearms, and he took advice from NRA regarding bumpstocks. They should be more pissed at NRA than President Trump.
He has done more amazing things than any other President in my lifetime, especially regarding foreign policy. |

At the end of the day, even his biggest supporters are going to have to sit down and admit Trump didn’t get a fraction of what he promised done. I know he had massive odds stacked against him and a swamp that has proven undrainable... but he didn’t get it done. That he was slightly worse than ambivalent to us gun owners really isn’t helping either. I know, “sygl”, “nevatrumpa”, all that bullshit. I was really hoping for another four years to prepare... but here we are. Focus all your ire at the dems and the swamp, I’m just pointing out the obvious. |

He got a lot of things done that helped us as a country, and it is remarkable given the hostility he had to contend with from just about every Democrat and a large number of Republicans. He didn't help himself by turning on his gun owner base, and his mouth certainly could have been shut more, but I would take him over any President since the 80's, probably most in the last hundred years really. |

Kind of the same as the hate upon a needed loved one who's leaving. Trump, warts and all, was the best President we've had in a long time by every measure. But you can't take away that he said stupid shit that aurguable energized and supported the sacking of the Capital [or at least that's how it's being presented]. Yes, lots of other factors were in place as well for that shit-show failure of security to happen, but Trump didn't handle it well, and did help enable it to happen. And with that, he just legitimized and strengthed the Democratic leadership, and made it a much harder struggle now for Republicans to resist for 2 years, or to win in 2 years. We went from a sure thing R sweep in 2 years, to probably not; now. So... yea, I'm kind of pissed about that part. Still wish he won.
People think the elections were all stolen, without really acknowledging 4 years of media hate campaigned has caused half the country outside our echo chamber to hate the man. It's just not that incredible to me to acknowledge a nation that only knows what the newspapers tell them, and all the newpapers colluded against the man, ended up not voting for their better choice. And with that, I do think Republicans can still win; and probably were going to after the D's in charge fail to do a good job and dissappointed their media colluders. But now, they are doing shit like this stupid 20K troop deployment to Washington for show, to make sure people remember the sacking of the Capital for as long as possible. Imagine if they applied 1/1000 of that to securing Republican softball games; but that story around this time 4 years ago, dissappeared within days. Rest assured, the story on the Capital security breach most assuredly will not. Trump could have played this better than he did. And so now the legacy of the best President of our time; is flushed down the toilet, and victem-hero-Democrats win. This sucks. |

No hate for trump but I always felt he was bad for the conservative brand so to speak.
The fact that he argued and pushed back against to left did not make him a great leader. He was a very unlikeable person. Regardless of what the more conservative side of America wants, likely more than half the country is at least left leaning. We need someone who appeals more broadly and Trump was not that. He will not be president and needs to step aside so we can de-energize the left and let the right get on with rebuilding. |
