TLR1 on pistols...
Some great big fucking mag lite looking thing on my rifle... Primary arms had it on sale and I got the brilliant idea of idea of putting a fucking kel light on my AR... At least if shit goes hand to hand, I can make the forbidden sound with my rifle... |

Streamlight TLR-1 has been solid for me.
While Surefire is great, I don't recommend the Surefire G2 with a plastic lens for a weaponlight. Weaponlights should have glass lenses. |

I went a different route..
I had to kill a few people. Then, I got sent to a slam where they told me I would never see daylight again. So I dug up a doctor and paid him 20 menthol Kools to do a surgical shine job on my eyeballs. That way, I could see who was sneaking up on me in the dark. |

I don’t operate, I just turn my stream lights on and off as needed.

Back when I still had long guns ( had to sell them all to buy a new refrigerator and food) I standardized to these. Just have a Biden approved double barrel shotgun now. I probably wouldn’t take them afield in an infantry role but I’m never going to do that at this late stage of life. View Quote Oddly enough, at least some were issued by the military and quite a few saw use in Iraq and Afghanistan. |

Quoted: Surefire got it right with the Scout Pro's mounting system. It's minimalist and lightweight. It makes adjustment up close to the rail a cinch. Once you get it to where you want it, you tighten the adjustment screw and it's not going anywhere. Streamlight 88058 Pro Tac Rail Mount 1, which uses either a lithium cell like the included one or can use a single AA (like an Eneloop) with no adapter needed to swap between them.
It comes with a remote tail cap, but I don't use that. Attached File |

When I operate operationally in the AO known as my house, the light on my rifle is some sort of Surefire LED light in a Magpul cantilever mount.

Streamlight. I have never had one fail other then a dead battery, and i have put the streamlights i use at work through hell.

Quoted: Have you had any issues with the battery going dead when stored? View Quote None whatsoever. I bought a second one because I like it so much. I know people here trash talk them. I love how easy it is to switch between white and IR. Now I have that plus my old Surefire 952V to roam around in the dark with. |

Just get a reflector pan for the back. Triples your output and doesn't light you up as well. Attached File You can also upgrade to a Bullseye light. Arisaka 600 with malkoff head. Idk if these are still a popular choice, but they offer 55,000 candela compared to the $100 dollar more modlite plhv2 which is also 55,000 candela.
