10/15...25 years ago?
Has it always been a Glock? Did you carry something unique? What did it ride in? |

25 years ago, Smith 3913. 15 years ago, Colt officer's model. 10 years ago, Sig 229. It was a glock for 2 years. 1993-94 and 1997-98. I tried to like it but no. Now, a P226 on duty, and a Shield or P10c off duty. I own one glock, a G40mos which is a hunting and woods gun. For work, or ccw, NO.

Glock 17 from late '80s, G17 while in uniform, G19 off duty, since '92.
Bought a couple of G26 when they came out....tried ankle carry for my back up on duty, the 26 was just too big to be viable. Tried it for off duty carry but with the finger extension it made more sense just to carry the 19. Fast forward to retirement carry, went through the 19X because I wanted something other than black for a change. Then G45, and now for the sake of traveling through certain states, I love my G43X. |

Same as now except a different one....70s era .38 special Colt Cobra. A S&W Model 38 filled in the gap between Cobras.

little single stack .45 1911 appendix carry no holster.

Beretta 92F, mostly in a nylon belt holster, in my briefcase. Too big to conceal (comfortably), except in the winter.

In the late 80s I only had one handgun, which was a stainless GP100 with a 4 inch barrel
Off duty it lived in a Kramer holster Eventually I bought a 2 inch stainless security six from a co-worker. It lived in a nameless leather holster that came with the gun At some point I bought a Grendel 380 but didn't carry it long, as it was a POS. Pretty sure I went back to the security six. By the mid 90s we'd gone to Glocks for duty guns, but the mini Glocks didn't exist yet. Off duty I carried a stainless AMT Backup in 40 auto. Horrible gun, horrible trigger. I sold that to pay for my Glock 27, which I carried off duty for more than a decade. When the Glock 43 came out I sold the 27 to pay part of the cost of the 43 I still carry the 43 today and don't expect that I'll change guns any time soon |

My EDC 25 years ago was a Sig P220. 15 years ago a Glock 19. 10 years ago it was Glock 19 or a S&W 642. Today it will be my Glock 19 until I go to work then it will be a Glock G45.

My first carry gun was a Taurus Millennium Pro .45 when they first came out. Nothing wrong with it really, just not the best quality. Attached File Replaced with a Glock 29 10mm Few different 9mm in between Latest is a P365XL. |

Until the coof and riots it was a Walther PPS .40 cal. Since then it has been a 43x with 15 rounders.

1984 - 1986: S&W 459
1986 - 1991: Colt Agent .38 1991 - 2005: Colt 1991A1 5" 2005 - present: Colt LW Commander (95% of the time) After the riots in 2016 where rioters were stopping traffic and looting/commandeering vehicles, added a G19X bag gun with 3 spare 22 rounders. |

[#42]
In the 80's I carried a S&W model 39-2 in a Bianchi holster ( I think) with 1 extra mag for a total of 16 rounds.
Sometimes a Mod 60 and no reload. I delivered for a pharmacy and thought I should carry a gun. I never had a bit of trouble and it was the best $4 an hour job I ever had. |

[#43]
Originally a G19
Then I added a G26 Carried a 1911 for awhile Back to the G19 & G26 Then I added a G43 Now I’ve got a G43X Short answer is G19, G26, G43 or a G43X. Whatever I feel like carrying that day ?? |

Outside of work:
25 years ago: Glock 26/27 10 years ago: Glock 19/23/32 5 years ago: Glock 19/23/32 Retired 3 years ago and the smallest I've carried is Glock 19/23/32 everywhere, anywhere. |

There have been quite a few "one-off" variations, and accommodations for traditions like Wheelgun Wednesday, Full-size Friday, etc.
But the "go-to" EDC hasn't had too many versions. H&K USPC in 10mmK (I was young, it was the '90s ) Yost-Bonitz built Colt Delta Elite (hence screen name...) H&K P7M8 SIG P320C 9mm (current, and now "backed up" with an EDC backpack for work with the 8".300BLK SBR) Dan Wesson/CZ DWX Compact 9mm (if they'll ever start selling the damn things). |

15 years ago I was 21. I carried a Springfield mil spec in a kydex iwb holster a local guy made.
10 years ago it was a g19 in a raven vanguard |
|
[#49]
I never carried a Glock, can't stand that goofy grip angle. current is a Sig 365XL, before that was a Kahr CW9. Before that was something nerf

15 years ago, Glock 19. Gen 3, which I liked. Switched to a Gen4 and 5, they felt like bricks.
Today, Browning Hi-Power. By FAR, much more comfortable to carry (thinner for IWB), shoot, and hold/grip. |
