I've always rewarded my kids for their hard work and good grades.
My youngest has just graduated from middle school (6,7 and 8th) with Straight A's for every grading period of every year!! Our school district is always rated the highest in our area and also very high in our state, so I believe this is a major accomplishment!!! Help me pick her reward! |

Something non-electronic (no phones, pc's, games).
How about a trip, somewhere she wants to go. ETA - Noticed you are not far from D.C., Whitehouse, Smithsonian, National Mall, really cool if you have not taken her. |

Guided fishing trip. Or a father-daughter experience. Not like that weird guy, like a normal guy.
More important to spend time instead of money. |
|
A college savings account. Of course, with her grades she might get a full ride.

We pay $5/A. Subtract $3 for a B, $5 for a C. Only had to take away $9 for all 3 girls total.....lol
Never got any "bonuses" til High School graduation--gave the 2 that made Valedictorian $500 cash, as they easily made that back in scholarships. |

Nothing now, help pay for college later.
And/or take her out to dinner, let her choose the restaurant. |
|
Just throwing 1000 bucks at her is a bit uncreative and pointless.
Maybe put it in a Roth for her? |
|
award her by spending more time with her and less time on here.

I voted for a new bike. Sounds like she’s pretty responsible and a nice bike is a good way for a responsible young lady to exercise a little extra freedom this summer.
|
|
“Congrats! You get new clothes to wear on your first days of high school later this year.”
Take her to dinner. Tell her your proud. Let her enjoy her summer. Or buy her a gun. Not sure how that wasn’t an option. |

Let the "A"s be their own reward. Success should be its own merit in life. You should well be proud but what about the siblings who try equally hard but just didn't get the right gene? You gonna crap on them?

Just finished Middle School so I'm guessing she's 13 or 14 and heading into high school?
Self defense classes and a tazer gun. |

A female pre-teen? I would strongly suggest a German Shepherd puppy. Let it REALLY bond with her. Make sure it sleeps in her room, and is glued to her 24/7. Just sayin...

A serious sit down conversation is overdue.
Find a quiet place, and ask her, "sweetheart, can you take a minute and explain apostrophes to me?" Then take notes. |

Money, dude. That's what you get for being awesome at your occupation as an adult, so show her that early.

Congrats for being a good dad, I'm sure you're proud of her. I'd get her something she'll remember and I don't think simple cash will get that done. My vote is a trip to continue learning in some form, maybe a museum or something fun like that. What is she interested in?
