Palmetto cheese is a brand name of pimento cheese, not what some people call it.  See pic a couple posts above

Pawley's Island Palmetto Cheese. Owner got sideways with liberal Costco about something he posted
online and they dropped him. Good stuff.

This and they have several varieties.

ETA- here's the bacon version; now if they'd add bacon and jalapenos.

Pimento cheese is posed to be pinkish redish color.

There is a local restaurant that makes their own. One has jalapeño. Best I've had.

Mrs. Kinser's pimento cheese used to be much better than it is now.

Last time I bought some it tasted like it was made with fake cheese and didn't have much flavor. I won't be buying any more.

I haven't found a store brand that I didn't like, but that Palmetto brand is pretty damn good.

The Jalapeño kind is pretty tasty too.

It's supposed to be a pinkish red color?

It's easy to make.  Just mix the ingredients.  You can even buy the cheese already grated.

This is the one and only answer to this question. I make mine with japs, japs and bacon, spam, spam japs and bacon, spam spam and spam and bacon flavored spam,

but I digress......... home made is the best and easiest. And the add in options are endless. Look it up online OP and get after it.

Pimento cheese sandwiches were a staple in my house growing up.....dad would make them for us....sometimes he would get fancy and lay on a slice of luncheon meat and some chips on the side.....

Then he would get real fancy and lay on a slice of olive loaf....we were eating uptown then....

Pimento cheese and oilve loaf sandwich....damn good eating for us back then

The Fresh Market stuff is also good, it usually has larger chunks of cheese than most brands.  They have a regular and a jalapeno version.
