Freedom to mostly do what you wanted without it being documented somehow.

Good music being commonplace. It still exists today but you've gotta go look for it. Before, even if it wasn't my style, it was still quality.

Society as a whole was calmer and less sensitive. Crime existed and was arguably worse in some cases but people weren't so damn nerved up all the time.

TV was better in some ways. Same for movies. There's WAY more options now but the quality is a lot lower in many instances.

Probably more just off the top of my head.

That feeling of optimism where the soviets were defeated. And if you simply worked hard and applied yourself everything would work out in the end.

The girls in their sun dresses in the SoCal sun. No fattys, just natural non tattooed woman.

Feminism didn’t destroy dating yet. The girls were young, willing and loved being around men.

Boomers haven’t succeeded yet in making workplaces toxic work environments. It was fun and cool to have a job. Coworkers were fun to be around.

Certain things were really cheap. Milsurp guns, cars, gas, college, job training. You could get a can of ammo and some beer and waste an afternoon.

As a teenager you could get away with nearly anything. As long as there was no blood or cops. No cell phones to rat you out. And the kids that did snitch were thrown out of the group.

Politics didn’t define life. The commie kid with the Che tshirt was thought to be trying too hard to be cool.

All of that burned on Sept 11.

Now we have the bullshit the boomers produced.

Boomers fault?

Rinse out your head gear guy.

The current BS mess is the fault of the next generations progressive liberal agenda.

If you can, cancel and order the 250 two stroke. I read the 125 has to revved high to get at the power.

@Rubles

The maintenance on those modern 4 strokes is very expensive.

@peacematu

Yes! And they sound terrible. That's why I just ordered a 23' YZ125 two stroke. It's a slightly updated bike that still has it's heart in the 90's! Carbed, no battery, and kick start!

So basically like 125’s since the beginning of time?

I miss all of it. Going to to movie store. Going to hastings on pay day.  Going to dinner/ice cream and a show with a gal was $20 for the whole evening. Bud light hadn’t fucked with yet with their recipe change. Could team rope all night on $15. Gas was a buck. Diesel was 1-1.69. Paintball was cool back then. Cheap guns. Cheap ammo. 2$ sleeves of stinger 22.  Yeah the awb sucked, but we worked around it.

Chicks dug the dash mount phone on my Chevy. That was some baller shit back then.

Shit all changed after 9/11. Every bit of it.

You could browse cd's all afternoon. If you got one you didnt like you could sell it back to them. Books, movie rentals, music, even a coffee bar before Starbucks started overcharging people.  When they went under it was the end of an era.

Unfortunately, streaming and the fact that they let the "used" product market take over, really hurt them. I think the last week they were open I bought a new Eagles cd, and had to dig through layers of used ones to find it.

You mean the ones who were young adults, teens, children or unborn at the time Clown World culture was already becoming evident in some places?

This country was better pre 9/11.  Afterwards, the decline accelerated.
