Lisa, I miss Lisa.
She was always down for ANYTHING, even if there were friends involved. |

Young Gen X women.
Society wasn't totally feminized yet. China was still weak at that time. |

Radio stations were better back then, but I must admit I dig access to music on my phone. I also miss hot chicks not totally fucking up their looks with shitty tattoos.

Things didn't hurt as much as often.
With a young family it was a financially tight decade for me. Because of that I really don't miss it. |

'90s... not much. Overrated. '70s and even (cough) the '80s were better.
Political correctness was beginning to gain traction. Lead directly to today's woke bullshit. Continuation of the '80s Nanny state. What I do miss: I was young and moved out for the first time. Some of the music was innovative and great to listen to. No wife or kids... did a lot of outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, caving, rock climbing, fishing, and vacationing in other states and countries. My Z28 Camaro. Women looked and behaved like women, and most didn't choose to look repulsive. Not proud of it but... screwing bored, horny housewives with no strings attached. |

Rewatching Buffy The Vampire slayer since it aired in 97, gonna have to go with super hot SMG and Charisma Carpenter. God damn SMG was smoking in the first season with the little bit of baby fat she had. (she was 19 in 97 and I was 14.)
Also, not having the Beetus or MS would be nice. |
|
We all talk about how great the '80s were (and they were great for the most part), but the '90s weren't that bad, either. Personally, I thought the tech from the '90s was the most desirable because it was pretty decent but hadn't taken over peoples lives yet.

Pretty much everything.
I mostly miss my youth and my health. I was in my prime back then. My wife and I wish our paths had crossed back then. I was a stud Marine and she was a petite young college girl. We would have fucked like rabbits. I told her once that I probably would have put her in the hospital and she agreed. |

No Internet or smart phones.
Flip phones did everything that was really necessary. |

Real gun shows with cool shit.
Cheap ammo Women - you went to bars to pick them up. |

Angst over Y2K. What few Cobol programmers who still existed were making bank on it.

Two of the biggest things:
1. Lack of people around. It wasn't non stop traffic all day. I remember riding my bike on my street and rarely seeing a car. Once 8pm came around, the roads were empty. 2. The feeling that everything was going to be okay. No far off threats being constantly hammered home. |

Primarily, being in my teens and early 20s...
Also: Pre-smartphone Somewhat pre-mass social media Napster Cheap gas Cheap cigarettes Cheap everything Jobs everywhere High school Single and minimal responsibility Rush Limbaugh Show Summers in Nashville Young (but legal) women Bar hopping Good music Parties at my friends' houses. That's just a few. I would much rather be back in time to the 90s, as a general rule, but not at the expense of losing my awesome kids. The 90s were awesome, and an awesome time to become an adult. |
|
I miss the 70's more, when I was a teenager. Just about everything was legal or, if you were caught, you were told not to do it again.
