$98 one way for gas. Just left Tuesday and came back to fix the mower and cut the grass. I can take it, (although I don't like it) but I'm sure it's really hurting a lot of people. FJB. |

Just got back from a little jaunt up to Tennessee for a cabin vacation. Over $400 in gas just to get there and back. Ugh.

It's not just an annoyance for most, it will lead to less spending elsewhere - restaurants, non-essentials, etc. Businesses will close, unemployment will rise, inflation due to increased delivery costs... last time it was $4+ was right before the 2008 crash.
It aint good. |

Quoted: hell I was pissed that it took $15 to fill the tank on the bike! View Quote It would take over $15 to fill up my wife's lawn mower now. It helps that we had three five gallon cans from last fall that we still have one full one left. We'll get a couple more mowings until we have to use today's priced gas. Edit - It's better than I thought. She said she has a couple mowings in the mower so we have about five mowings before today's gas prices. |

It aint good. View Quote No doubt. I remember what happened in 2008. It killed the auto industry, which was highly reliant on truck sales (much like now). Although there's a backlog of demand for trucks right now, but once that is worked through, look out. |

Our fishing camp is 180 miles one way. In my truck, I fill up on the way down and on the way back. It’s going to hurt next time I go.
Probably won’t be as many fishing. Especially off shore. |

Well, you'll just have to stay a little longer between trips.

My truck gets 10 MPG. Fortunately I only drive it when I need to plow snow and haul gravel or dirt. I hope Biden chokes on a bag of dicks before it gets to the next election.

I can fix this.
In 2007 when heating oil hit $4.29 I installed geothermal at the old house. Sold that house last year. Current home has oil heat&hot water. |

About a month ago, I was joking on here and to friends about what the conversion rate of .22lr to fuel ratio was....
I dont think it is a joke anymore. |

A $2.00 pay raise does not cover the extra gas cost. Then you have everything else up in price. Expect our economy to take a shit, big recession coming. |

Yep. $10/gal gas wouldn't totally prevent me from driving, but it would really put a damper on a lot of things.
I did a 2400 mile road trip in late April... spent $457 on gas. That trip gets more and more expensive. |

My work transferred me to a location that was 5 minutes from my house to one thats 20 minutes away. I used to fill up once a month. Now I have to fill up twice a month. It sucks. Fortunately my wife still works from home.

Daily on the local Facebook groups I see someone asking for help with gas or grocery money. That and all the people looking for places to live because rent prices have skyrocketed and they can't afford to live in their current places. Shit, I need to move in August and everything around me is $500-$700 more than what I'm currently paying. Glad I got that $0.75 raise in March.

Yea I filled up the 20 gallon gas caddy and a couple cans to take up to my cabin and it was $140 for premium non-ethanol. ?? I won’t even bother driving up there much this summer. What a fucking joke.

Expensive trip; which is why you try to make it as efficient as possible. Not just one stop but numerous errands or chores that have to be done in that one trip. I've been doing that for years.
Yesterday I had a medical appt, then to Best Buy to get a hand mixer, Home Despot for dirt & a lamp (no lamp - online order only - sh*t), Goodwill and got some lamps, two grocery stores, Post Office and then home. As many things as possible in one trip. However, sometimes you have no choice in the matter but try to do the best you can. |

Diesel here is at like 6.75. I filled up the other day and a dump truck was next to me. I asked how much and he told 250 A DAY. I don’t know if he was messing with me but holy shit if true

I had to drive to our place outside Laredo to fill up feeders. About $400 worth of gas. Corn was up to $10/50#, cottonseed at $14/50#, and protein hit $15.25/50#. We put out 4 tons of each.
It’s getting too expensive to do anything lately. |

My usual runs are around 200-250 miles a day. At your fuel prices, that's over $400 to fill up per day. $10 a gallon gas? Shit, bread will be $10 a loaf before you know it. |

a young man infront of me, had a work shirt on so I'm figuring he had a job.
