In December, I was seeing used 2019 F series models listed at higher prices than outgoing 2020s when you consider the new incentives.

To get any type of “deal” the mileage has to be up in the 100s around here.

Those are pretty desirable and with the condition and location I’d guess that’s worth a good amount

I put my 2002 GMC 2500HD with the 8.1 gas engine up for sale.  I was asking $14,900 although NADA book was $8500.  My phone started blowing up immediately with people wanting to look at it.  I told my wife what i was doing and she got extremely angry saying i was price gouging and it would never sell for that and i should change the price to $11k or much less.

I said fine, I'll drop the price to $14,400 for now, but that i was in no hurry to sell and i would keep dropping the price over the next two months.  In under an hour from first listing, it sold sight unseen for my asking price and the buyer was freaking stoked to pay it.

You can still lease a v6 ram under $300/month in my area with no money down I just saw the ads again the other day.

It's only a 10k miles a year lease, but...at least you're not BUYING a chrysler product

I used KSL classifieds.  Lots of people from Salt Lake City use KSL.  My truck was perfect and only had 90,000 miles.  There are many diesels in the 2002 to 2005 range on there with 250,000+ miles that are asking $17,000 to $19,000.

Posted this in my own thread, but I was looking at a 2017 Tundra Doublecab Limited. List $35,300, lowest I could get them was $34k.

I went to look at new ones, and $40k+ is just too damn much for a half ton pickup. Jack shit for deals on new or used.

We have money in the bank to buy, just don't see the value. I can reasonably expect my current pickup to last another 5 years without any major expenditures, so gonna keep rolling.

There is nothing good in the $20k range, at all. 2007+ domestics with 150,000 or more miles that I wouldn't trust to be more reliable than my 2006.

Sold my last gen Nissan Titan Pro-4X to Carvana and got a grand over KBB.  Minus a little bit of oxidation on the roof, it was in mint condition with a pristine interior and low mileage.

Paid cash for a 2018 CX-5 and made a profit.

The market is nuts. Last week I went to auction. 2017 F150 base lariat with 249k miles went for over 16k before auction fees.

And the F650 I tried buying went for over 40k and ended with a call bid. So the high bidder still may not end up with it. I was trying to buy it for no more than 28k.

I’ve been pondering this myself. The one thing we don’t have now we had when the 2008 crash hit was interest rates to cut and an extra $20 trillion to light on fire.

I really do feel we’re in a roaring 20’s phase.

My pops is considering a new 2021 F250 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 with the 7.3 gas.

He has a 2011 F250 XLT Supercab 4x4 with the 6.2 gas.  Low miles with around 22,000
The dealer offered $16,500 just over the phone for his truck.
I saw a comparable truck but an XL listed  for $24,000.
I'm thinking list it closer to $30,000?

Interesting.  I have a 2007 Crewcab FX4, pretty well loaded up.  112K miles.  New tires, new inner and outer tie rods......tone of new stuff within the past three years.  Granted, the body is rusty and it has dents/dings, it is super sound mechanically, it just isn't going to win a beauty contest.

Had a hole in the exhaust, so I took it to a local shop and had them weld in a new pipe.  BSing with the guy while I am there, and it turns out his buddy desperately needs a truck.  I told him I will sell mine, but I am not in a rush.  I tell him I will come up with a price and let him know.  48 hrs go by and I haven't even looked, now they are hitting me up wanting to know how much I want for it

The only one I could find that was even comparable, was over $8K and in the next state over. Anything else even close is $10K minimum, with way more miles. I take all the cosmetic stuff into account and tell him $5K.  He about has an aneurysm......but he seemed "needy" from jumpstreet.  Just had to tell me he is a nurse, so I am sure he was expecting some "hero" pricing....

I can't wait to list this thing for real, and see how it goes......

Last week at the auction a 2018 Platinum F150 with 25k miles went for 50,000 even before auction fees!

A 2007 2wd Silverado vinyl floor regular cab short box with 280k and a 4.8l went for 4200!!! The thing was rusted, had dents everywhere, rusted and bent tailgate, and even had a black spray painted 3/4 ton duramax hood (still had the 4.8l). Even had 3 22" flaking chrome wheels and 1 mismatched random 17" alloy. It was a genuine pile of shit....

what model? f150? fx4 means nothing

I have a 2005 f150 fx4 with 180k on it that runs well, but like yours, the body has some wear and tear. I want to dump it before I have to put major money into it and this thread has me wanting to take advantage

Yes, F150.  Im actually curious to see what a dealer would offer me if I were considering trading it in.  I'd love to keep the thing for a beater/work truck, as it has tons of life left in it, but I cant justify it.

Dealer is trying to make $$$ and from what I've seen that truck would sell for $25K in 24-48 hours.  SuperCab will slow it down a bit vs a CrewCab.

I've been looking for a CLEAN 3/4 ton CrewCab 4x4 for less than $25K since Dec.  I occasionally need to pull a 12K trailer, move the tractor, truck stuff, but its not a daily driver.  That put me at a 2011-2014 F250 6.2L with 100K+ or a 3rd Gen Cummins 2004-2009 with 150K+.  The Dodge 5.9L were demanding a premium.  I saw trucks with 250K listed for over $20K.  I'd drive a couple trucks in an evening and try to make up my mind.  Call the next afternoon and they'd be gone if they were priced right.  This went on for about a month.  I ended up in a 2007.5 Ram 2500 MegaCab SLT 4x4 6.7L/auto with 160K on it for $22K and drove 2hrs to get it as soon as it popped up.

I sold my '97 F250 PowerStroke CrewCab 4x4 XLT with 265K and failing clear coat but a clean interior for $6500.  I paid $7K for it 8yrs ago.  Market is still crazy!!
